man i never been hunting or deep seas fishing , but i pray i meet this man one day to experience a true feelings to be around such great human being. salute to you man
Been following for idk 5 or so years now years now, and this is one of my favorite videos. Not because of the content as a whole, but because of the wholesomeness. What Ms. Rachel (sp?) said at the end rings true with the gulf states and hurricanes. It’s something you have to accept living in these amazing areas. But the resiliency of Louisianans, Floridians and Mississippians when disaster strikes is incomparable. Cheers DMFD
Rob I love you brother. Your visit here was one of the highlights of my career. Thank you for embracing me, my family, and my community. God bless you.
What an awesome experience! As soon as Rob said he was down here, I started looking for you. Anyone else reading this, please check out Jared’s page. There isn’t a better channel out there promoting the rebuilding of our coast and fisheries
I’m a S.E. Tennessee native and was lucky enough to live in Louisiana in the early nineties, and the people there were ALL some of the nicest, most generous and gracious folks I’ve ever met.
You can't go wrong with Jared he has a top-notch channel and will show you the true Louisiana hospitality. You need to have Jared put you in touch with his buddy Kfred and I promise you will enjoy the experience. Both Jared and Kendal are great examples of our culture and way of life. Thanks for visiting us.
Went through Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. My Aunt and cousins lost everything in St. Bernard parish during the hurricane. This video is what southern Louisiana is all about. As a family tradition we do BBQ shrimp every year around thanksgiving. Hope you had a great experience while you were there. God Bless you Robert. Hope your father is doing well and we are praying for him.
Thank you so much Mr. Dylan! Dad is doing well. He’s on his 22nd radiation treatment and holding strong. But just like dealing with a devastating storm, life can be rough and when it gets hard, you’ve gotta do it hard! Just like the people of this area, my dad is a fighter! 🙏🙏🙏
Robert I've seen men and ladies over seas throw huge cast nets, while I'm the military, I've only been able to throw a 6 ft net , for bait, I love this video as one of my favorite, thank you so much
Fun video Rob. I follow Outside the Levees as well. We catch shrimp with our cast nets this time of the year in our bayous here in south Mississippi as well. Good folks you are hanging out with there.
I lived in Violet and Chalmette for a while when I was a kid in the nineties. We would just pull over and fish, crab, shrimp to sell to the neighbors and eat😁🤤So much fun!
Lil Mav with his flannel coat, way too cute.... great to meet new ppl n experience stuff like this n learn about how ppl live in different parts of the country.
I was in Braithwaite when Katrina hit it was devastating my house ended up about 500 yards down the bayou but yes I've lived in St Bernard Parish for 7 years of my life and it was the best time of my life to hunt and fishing is phenomenal out there
Katrina was in ‘05 on my brothers bday I’ll never forget. My grandmother lost her house in the Gentilly area of New Orleans but like the woman in the video said, the people are strong⚜️⚜️⚜️🙏🏾
Robert, You are an inspiration to me in so many ways. It is my absolute dream to one day hunt and fish with you. If you are ever looking to hunt and fish with a long time fan, it would be an honor to learn more from a guy like you. God bless. #TGBTG Matt Cameron
In my neck of the woods born and raised in Saint Bernard Parish been living here 47 years and would never think of moving from here. That's wright where I throw the cast net sometimes you can get lucky and load up with shrimp. Love you videos and also love watching out side the levees
I'm from 30 mins down the road in St john. Crawfish Crab hunt fish party in the Bonnet carre spill way and lake Pontchartrain can't beat It id never move
I’m from Louisiana. I been listening to swamp pop music all my life. The people down south knows how to take a disaster and make the best of it and keep on going. Just look at the people in your home state of Florida. They just had a hurricane hit them now they rebuilt and going on with life
Rob what an awesome video. The culture that you’re able to show people around the world who follow your channel teaches us all something truly amazing. The word was “resilience.” They showed exactly that coming back from all the hurricane’s. What an honor being invited and seeing what their lives are all about. Your expression was funny when she said she was going to send some seasoning home with you for your wife cause she wasn’t giving up the family recipe when you were asking what was in the pot. Oh and BTW nice pancakes with that huge cast net. 🙌👍
GREAT VIDEO, man the Hot Spot had music, drinking, and food in it's core. There is nothing I like more than to party, in a garage, under a carport, front or back porch, skinning rack or a shed that has some character. Open flame heating source a must.
Rob thank you so much for just being the person you are and bringing us awesome content! You never changed over your UA-cam fame and it’s absolutely incredible. Can’t wait to see what other videos you have in store for us
Say, Robert, that accent is a real mix. They have the French from Acadia (Nova Scotia), from which we get the word Cajun. You add the Southern US accent. Then you remember the French-speaking folks got worried their kids were growing up only speaking French, so way back they brought in English teachers… from Brooklyn, NYC! Now you pay $20 to “pawk ya caw in N’Awlins on de holiday!”
That looks so delicious that I wish I could try some but this Disabled Veteran can't afford to go anywhere, oh well it is hard when you are 73 going on 74 years of age!
Robert you are a great man and much respect too you for your love of. People and their way of life ! And I really enjoy your videos when your out traveling!
“This is almost a straight shot from Mississippi to Colorado” followed by the screenshot of the map made me laugh so hard I might’ve gotten a noise complaint from my neighbors 😭😭😭
Rob great video as always. I have always enjoyed the way you show people the real America brother. I love the way your videos show that there's a lot more to America than just the big cities. Many people never get to see the pure beauty that is America. But your videos always show it. You ain't going to see 95% of this on mainstream media. I love my fishing, I love my hunting. But I truly love the true beauty that our country has once you get out of the cities and you get and see real America. Rob if said this so many times and I wouldn't keep saying it if I didn't think it was true. DMFD is the #1 hunting and fishing channel on UA-cam brother. Keep them great videos coming brother and God bless you Sarah the girls your family and crew.
No Rob your the one who blessed people's hearts brother. Between you your brother Gabe and the rest of your family. You all are truly blessings to many of us out here brother.
Justin Wilson showed how to make barque Strimp on his show before he pasted away, it is on you tube now. There style on cooking in that part of the south is amazing. Thank you for sharing and God bless you and your whole family and friends....🙏❤🙏❤🙏😊🙂😀
man what an awesome family. God bless them for continuing to adapt and living their dreams. keep up the amazing work and living your dream. God Bless and stay safe 🙏

Literally paused the video to go find swamp pop!!! Lol, cool quick video. America is just perfect, all different kinds of people poured into the melting pot to create the perfect balance of one beautiful thing...... AMERICANS!!!🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🤘🤘💪💪♥️
That gal wasn't about to reveal her secret recipe/blend for that Cajun potion she added to the melted butter, lol. You know it's special when folks insist on keeping it top-secret.
I could sit right there in his "hot spot" and eat on that batch of shrimp all day!! Nothing better than being around a group of good down to earth people. Nothing!
