I bought my SG500 in April. Tried to set it up but I couldn’t. Definitely not a plug and print. I called Sawgrass but didn’t have time to work with them but they tried to contact me several times. Definitely great customer service. Now I’m home on medical leave, feeling a little better I’m going to reach out to them again. Thanks for the video. I reminded me that I needed help and to ask the question about my ink that expired two months after I bought my printer🤔

I’ve just purchased the SG500 after having had the SG400 and also having played with Epson printers with sublimation inks. The only downside to SG is the cost of the ink cartridges but they do last and the quality is excellent whereas the Epson was cheaper to run but I wasted far too much time trying to match my printed colours to my favourite Pantone colours and it all got too hard with ICC files blah blah blah. But, I don’t enjoy using the sawgrass design software. I made a couple of mugs for a friend and that was reasonably ok but the software is clunky and awkward. I like to create my designs artwork in procreate or using watercolour or gouache and then scan and import into PS. Whilst I can print directly from PS I also like using silhouette business. Thank you for your easy to follow tutorials and instructions, I really appreciate it 🙏
I am just setting out to purchase a printer. Reading your comments I'm thinking maybe I should not get an Epson. I'm really confused and all the ICC profile business it's really confusing. Basically it's took the fun out of wanting a printer. I feel I'm such a loss of what to do even down to the size. Do I stick to the A4 which is roughly the 8x11.75 Uk size, or do I get the bigger printer A3 11.7 x 16.5 UK size. I didn't realise it was such a minefield, the only thing that puts me off the sawgrass is the cost of the cartridges. I'm not sure if they last a lot longer than the refills for Epson? if you could let me know, that would be very helpful 🙂

Hello, I've been having problems with this printer since I got it, specifically Print Manager. Lets just say that it pops up when it wants to. I've ask Sawgrass for help thousands of times. It'll work for 1 or 2 days. Meaning, it will pop up after I click print. and then it STOPS popping up. Would you be able to help me?

Lol Hi Denise! Don't worry, we know how you feel. Almost all of the sublimation videos use the Sawgrass Sublimation printer so we do recommend it because of it's reliability.
Quick question! I'm moving halfway across the US and will be using a moving company to take all my things. They'll be sitting for about a week in storage as well before we unpack. Will it travel well? Should I take the ink out? What about the waste tray? I don't want to get it out and have ink thrown all over my printer

Hi, do you need to install the CreatedStudio? I'm sure, I will need to install Print Manager, but unsure regarding the CreatedStudio. I use Cricut Design Space and wish to use it. I followed this along with a few other videos you have. I printed on the bright white side and when I used my easy press 2. Nothing happened. I used a 60% poly shirt, used parchment and applied pressure for the 60 seconds at 400 and nothing transferred. Do you have an idea of what I could be doing wrong?
I tried sublimating a photo using my Sawgrass SH500 and the sublimation paper it came with but the photo is grainy. The black looks more like a light gray. Is this a printer setting issues?
Hi there! The colors do brighten during the sublimation process. Did you try using the print out on your project? How did it turn out once it was pressed?
@@DesignBundles I used the sublimation paper that came with the Sawgrass. I printed the photo and pressed on the mug but it turned out really grainy. The black color looks a light gray. I’m going to try different paper settings like photo matte, etc. Thanks for your response.

Hey there! Although Sawgrass printers can connect wirelessly to Mac computers, they cannot connect to iPhones, iPads or Android devices at this time.

Yes it is, when you first set the printer up it does tend to use more ink.

You may need a sublimation coating.
