On a 2002 Jag X-type 2.5L, there is a retaining bolt in the back, between and below the two electrical harness bolts. It is not shown in the video, but, it needs to be removed to remove the manifold.
I 'd like just to add that one should be careful when measuring the gap between the spark plug electrodes. The central electrode is made out of a soft metal and can be easily damaged.
Excellent video for replacing spark plugs for the X-type. Thank you!
The spark plug gap is very important and is 1.32~1.42mm for X-type's V6 engine.

Can someone tell me what this "air pocket" thing under the intake manifold is for that you can see at 2:25?
That should be an insulator for reducing the noise from the injectors, as far as I know. It was eliminated later from 2003 MY X-type.

I can't actually remember the last time I bought a new spark plug that needed the electrode gap adjusting!
@@HaynesManuals Yes, exactly! No need to touch them if you don't want to scratch a platinum or iridium layer.
Which spark plugs are the best for my 2001 2.5 v6 x-type?
