Yes, a store manager have responsible for all activity in the store, start before opening store till closing store. Ensure all of source in the store running well.

@@SameerKhan-fd8yp I unfortunately ended up lacking the experience that they required for the position but I still think that the tips given here were VERY useful and got me through a number of questions during the interview that would have caught me off guard and/or stumped me

You can base your answers around this, but please do not forget to add your own personality in there to stand out from the other applicants. Personality goes a long way in showing the interviewer that your words have a greater chance of matching your actions.
Coming from a 30 year Retail Manager, Retail it's a game of Thrones. King makers are all over the place, keep yourself close to those up and comers and become a King yourself. Take all your crew and move them up, some day one of your crew will come for the Throne. The key in Retail is, Move up quick no matter who you have to step on, get that money.
