ProTip for image trace, if you click on the box thingy on the right side of "Preset", you'll get a window with a bunch of different settings to customize your image trace. You can expand the "Advanced" menu, and there's a cool option to "Ignore White" at the bottom, which does just that. Saves you the extra step of having to remove the bounding box and white shapes. I love your videos btw, always helpful and fun to watch. Your "design with me" videos are my literal favorite 💕☺️
Happy to find your videos girl! My dad is a graphic designer and it has always been intriguing to me but not something I was able to learn! Glad to find a girl teaching this !
Just found your channel! Obsessed! Thank you for all the awesome help with Adobe illustrator! I’m only just getting into it now! Oh and welcome to Aus! I live in Aus too! Hope you like it here 🥰
Could you a tutorial or deep dive into certain graphic design styles? I find it hard to learn those types of things by myself- a lot of self learner content out there is How To Do blank in illustrator which is really helpful but I want to learn more about specific styles or techniques graphic designers integrate into their work
Thank you so much for uploading this tutorial. I love how simplified it was. Keep doing these little tutorials and tips. And also love seeing your design processes. 💕
Probably the most stressful thing for people starting out is using the pen tools and understanding how nodes are used. I remember starting my graphics course and getting so stressed out with it, and a lot of people do just give up. Now I think of it as learning to ride a bicycle.

I have 2 question :) by the way thank you veru much for your useful video.. first question is : How can we chang the color of patterns? the other one is : you moved the frame and pattern keep changes when you moved it. how we stop that? edit preferences?
I think I've founded a solution for your 2nd question. The pattern in my AI also didn't work as in this video. Try to go to Scale tool (on a tools panel or just Shift+S) > double click it > in a pop-up window find the option "Transform Patterns" = off (should be unchecked if you want the pattern to stay in unchanged while moving the shape or vice versa by your taste). That option controls behaviour of pattern when you move the shape.
Hi Paola! Once I have the pattern created, and apply it to the shape (square), if I move this shape to another part of the page (like to discover new parts of the pattern) it just kind of moves the shape with the pattern sticked to it. Do you know what could be happening? Thanks for the video loved it!

Nice tutorial Paola! It did kinda sound like u were saying men’s tutorials are ‘weird and stuff’ but I know that’s not what you meant! Keep up the great work!

If we want to make one of the smilie faces a color how can we do it? like on the pattern I want one of it to be yellow
Gorgeous
can the color of the pattern be changed later?
Loved this!

Hi! Where you studied graphic design?
Nice tutorial Paola! It did kinda sound like u were saying men’s tutorials are ‘weird and stuff’ but I know that’s not what you meant! Keep up the great work!
I’m not sure your comment was necessary if you knew that’s not what she meant.
@@noelle5128 just pointing out how it might come across to other people :) I understand your perspective also
