Your channel has been such a pleasure to watch! Thank you for the cozy content and getting me back into reading, now during my lunch break I have been reading and it feels so good to read for fun again! ❤
I love how thoughtfully you take each book and how moody/choosy you are with your reading. 😂🥰♥️You’ve encouraged me that it’s ok to slowly savor and hold out for what we REALLY like to read.
Another cozy vlog that I love, thanks Cath! Your books look so interesting, definitely adding them to my tbr! We've had very changeable weather this summer, it's humid and dry with some light rain showers, yet we had a thunder and lightning storm last night because of the humidity. I don't mind thunder and lightning so much so it gave me very autumnal and cozy vibes. 😅🥰🧡🧡
so much effort and talent!! thank you for making this content =) it's great to watch during my work, i do a lot of data processing. this helped so much to keep me from getting sleepy or bored haha
Very cosy and nice acccompaniment to my own cup of Hoojicha😋 And tell your sister that she should think about opening her own channel....I want to try all her sweet treats that she spoils you with😉
I like to save your videos for when I have a maximum cozy atmosphere. Recently it seems it has only been getting rainier for me, which really has been amping up the cozy feeling. Therefore, this video was a perfect match for the mood I was in today!
Here I am, trying to journal and not melt in this heat and humidity. I'm ready to send the summer over to you XD. I received a big order of stationery yesterday but you're making me want more! I love you
I'm sort of relieved to hear that I'm not the only one struggling a bit with When the Moon Hatched...i want to like it so badly, and it just hasn't gripped me like others. Happy reading 🙏✨
i am relieved too! 😍 thanks for sharing your thoughts!! i wanted to like it sooo bad seeing as so many people rave about it. i’m hoping it gets better, but i’ve seen people who didn’t enjoy the book for the same reason saying that it’s only going to go downhill from there… maybe one day i will bring myself to get through the rest of it! happy reading to you too 🤍🤍
Your videos always relax me!! I love everything about your space there, it is so cozy!! Your clip collection is impressive! :) I have been wanting to try chapter's tea but haven't yet. But with your discount code I am ordering as soon as I am done sending this! Hope you hav a beautiful day!
ahhh thank youuu! 🥹🤍 i’m glad you like it hehe. haha we are a Chapters tea household at this point because all their options are amazing! i hope you like them too 🥰🥰
Though I am late, I just want to tell you that you did an amazing job at giving us glimmers again! Your videos are like those autumn-styled cozy books I always see here in the thrift bookshop near me. Keep going! I'll keep supporting you
Any tips on how to use your time for reading and creativity rather than getting sucked into scrolling social media? I am a huge reader but I feel like my time and attention for it have both decreased since I was younger because of screens. 😑
Great video, your journal spreads are so beautiful. Answer to your question as to what I am doing this summer. Hating the hot weather and wishing it was summer
Your edition of The Winternight trilogy is beautiful! I still haven't read the 3rd one, just because I don't want it to end. I admire you for not inhaling this tiramisu in 2 seconds, I could never focus on journaling with a dessert next to me...
thank you! i love the covers so much, they’re so vibrant and beautiful! 🤍 haha i know how you feel, i’m almost finished with the second book and i don’t know if i want to read the third book immediately or put it off for as long as i can 😭 i was so tempted to finish that tiramisu quickly! but it was 10 pm when i had it, and a part of me thought eating it slowly will make the caffeine be gentler on my body 🤣
I have been mood reading lately. I am re-reading Fable right now. I did go and buy the spellshop and I am hoping to read it in August. I love how calming your videos are. I also have been hanging out with friends this summer and I've also been working as well. I have no clue what I am going to pick up in August reading or buying..
love that for you!! i love Fable, and i hope you get around to The Spellshop soon! it’s a lovely read 🥰 i hope you’ve been enjoying hanging out with friends and working! take your time and see where your mood takes you for your next read ☺️
@@cupsandthoughts thanks so much. I will take my time to pick up my next read. I also have what the river knows from my library on ebook. But I am not sure if I am ready for that one yet
So cozy, with it being cold where you are! ☕🍪I always have at least three books going: one nonfiction (usually several), one novel, and one audiobook (might have two -- one novel and one personal development). Even though my current audiobook is well written and in fact by one of my favorite authors, it's losing my interest. It has a political/immigration topic that makes me depressed, since there's so much of it in the news right now. So, I'm going to move on to something else. Meanwhile, I'm totally engrossed in The Riddle of the Sands by Erskine Childers. It's a personal narrative thinly disguised as an early espionage novel written in 1903. The actual events behind the book influenced the British government to beef up their navy in the build-up to WWI. Much of the book is set in the Frisian Islands, where I spent a lot of time many years ago as a foreign student during my gap year. I have so much washi tape, stickers, ephemera, and collage material now that I need to buy a cart or cabinet to store it. Does that stop me from getting more? Oh, no. 😂
i’m glad you like it! ☕️💫 i love reading multiple books at one go too haha 😆 and i totally understand, you can definitely put it aside first and come back to it later! that sounds like an amazing novel! you described it so beautifully, and i love that you’re familiar with the setting too! i must check it out 😍 i actually just bought a new storage cabinet for my craft desk haha and i’m excited to organise my new stationery in it! 😆😍 there’s always room for more 🙈🙈
i felt the same about When the Moon Hatched! I always try and read a sample of books on kindle before i buy a physical copy because the hype train has let me down so many times 😭 but maybe you could trade your special edition of WTMH for a different special edition instead 🥰
so glad i’m not the only one 🥺 i want to love it sooo badly 😭 you’re so right! i wish i read a sample first haha :’) lesson learned! and yes you’re right hehe 🥰 i do have my eye on a couple of special editions! ✨
I want to ask this question for so long. Do you annotate your hardcover book? Or is it just paperbacks ? After seeing you I want to change my “Never ruining my books/ I just can’t do that” to “I gave my book a part of my life.”
yes i do!! :) the only exception is my special edition books - these don’t have my annotations at all. i annotate regular hardbacks too, but if i can find a book in its paperback version i’ll buy that one instead as it’s easier to annotate in it!
@@cupsandthoughts If you don’t mind can you suggest some highlighter brand that won’t bleed while highlighting. I really I want to start annotating after seeing your books. Keep up with your videos too. It’s really cozy to watch your videos.
I’ve been reading Enchantment by Orson Scott Card. My husband has been asking for years that I read an orson Scott card because it’s his favorite author. I’m not particularly into sci-fi fan or fantasy. This one is fantasy and I’m loving it! It’s set in medieval Russia. The MC is a Russian Jew and you get a lot of background about Russian Jews and some history. It’s so interesting and it’s comic! Based around sleeping beauty and a really great story! Haven’t finished yet but I really like it! 💗
I love your videos. This one went so fast when you were putting stuff in your journal that I had a hard time seeing what you were doing and being able to read your comments. I had to keep stopping and going back to finish reading the comment. I didn’t want to miss anything.
Hi - Thank you for another great video. Can I ask whether you have a recommendation for Australian retailers who stock annotation supplies like a good variety of page flags and highlighters? Thank you!
I read The Bear and the Nightingale when it first came out and i gave it a 2/5! My taste has changed drastically in the past 5-6 years though so I really want to try reading it again, I think I would love it if I gave it a second chance
that’s so interesting! and yess absolutely! :) i do personally think the sequel is a lot better! the only book that i disliked in the past and ended up loving it as an older reader was the Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy! i ate the whole series up and was so confused why past me despised it 🤣
Hello from France! I spend this summer in a beautiful region in the center of France called Périgord. It is full of fairy castles and mysterious forests. :)
Though it's not until February in 2025, it's still one of which that I'm anticipating, which is official English release of The Legend of Exorcism, and it even has it's own animated series and a webcomic (donghua and manhua, respectively). I'm also anticipating a bit on A Dark and Drowning Tide, which comes out in September this year.
