Hey, Pete Thorn! That guy is an incredible guitar player as well as knowing pretty much _everything_ about electric guitars, amps, gear. Not to mention he's just fantastic explaining how it all works together to get the tones that you hear and want to hear as a player. I can see why Yoyoka wanted to come to the States. If you want to be the best you need to be around the best!

Did you eat at the Japanese restaurant "Katsuya" (Hollywood and Vine) (at 1:01)? I used to manage the homeowner association for all the residents (many TV and movie stars) in that building (The Broadway Hollywood). Katsuya was a tenant and the Paparazzi used to chase their diners onto our property and block the driveway so my residents couldn't get home. What a headache!
That was a great video. You seem to be adjusting very well to the United States, especially where music is involved. The main challenge I see may be fully mastering the English language. An English teacher who speaks Japaneses may provide help in this area.
She will eventually. It’s at this age when kids immigrate to North America they’ll be fully fluent in both languages. Shido however may become more proficient in English than Japanese in the next few years (10-12 years old is a fragile period for losing or having less proficiency of your mother tongue- speaking from my own experience as a 1.5 gen immigrant which Yoyoka and Shido are)

You should try and hook up with the band The Linda Lindas. Get to know them maybe even join the band as a sceond drummer or some kind of other instrument. You've heard of the Beatles right? Have you heard of the fith Beatle? He was Billy Preston American keyboardist, who worked with the band on the seminal album Let It Be, Who knows maybe you could be on there next album or play some shows / concerts with them .
