NEO was such a fucking beast in 1.6, people who only knew him from csgo have no idea just how mindblowingly skilled this guy was. Sure f0rest is also a monster, but he was backed up by 4 other top tier elite players. Not saying that neo's teammates was close to being bad but with all due respect they were not an all star team like f0rest and co. But that is precisely what made NEO such a godlike player - he was able to hardcarry against the very best teams and players in the world. His team might not have won the most tournaments over all (AFAIK that honor goes to f0rest and co), but amazingly his team won the most major tournaments. There was no better team in offline play in major tournaments than the Golden 5, they truly had some magic going on! Neo was also 100% the professional player with _by far_ the best movement skills, he would make _very_ difficult and risky jumps and crazy movement techniques in live play to further his advantage. I always enjoyed watching G5 as they also had some interesting ways to play the game, eastern europeans had their own style. One thing they were known for was their half-ecos. Pistols in 1.6 were generally absolute garbage when the opponents had armor (except the deagle), and many teams felt that it wasn't worth it to invest that much in pistol rounds, but eastern european teams had a thing for half-ecos - fx all armor+deagles+1 guy with an AK where everybody kinda follows the AK guy to pick it up when he dies. However for some weird reason, even though they had one of the two best CS players, a complete fucking beast, they for some unknown reason often chose to give NEO a deagle instead of the AK (but that's not a complete loss as he was also absolutely deadly with a deagle). Neo was a support player in CSGO, but man you guys have no idea what you missed if you didn't see him play as _the_ madfragger for the Golden 5! Him and f0rest was undeniably the two best players in 1.6, but for me personally I feel like NEO was the absolute best as he overcame not having a nutty allstar aimstar team like f0rest always was backed up by, especially when the stakes were highest (majors) G5 and especially neo were absolutely godlike! It's such a shame these players weren't respected and treated properly by many of their teams, imagine where they could've gone with proper support. This old video just popped up in my feed, and I was met by a rush of nostalgia I had to write a comment about not only my favorite Counter Strike player but my favorite E-Sport player of all time. Seriously people who only knew him from CSGO have no freaking idea just how good this guy was at counters strike. Much love from Denmark!

Good job for recommending me this video, UA-cam. Nostalgia hits me really hard as I'm watching this. The graphic arts (old but gold), the memorable map, those so familiar characters, the radio sound effects... I remember the day when I played this with my friends on Saturday morning. Not really competitively, but we really enjoyed our time... Good old time... I always think that if I can turn back time, it's still worth it even if I can't change anything. Just be able to experience all of the stuff in the past all over again is already enough.

Shooting was absolutely depending on your skill, no random headshots, and no random at all. If you point on head you got head, nothing from csgo noob random shooting at legs and hitting heads...
I ahve played many times alone against 2-3-4 noobs with score like 70/1, in csgo average noob just holds leftmouse button and got you in head time to time from another part of the map lol, shooting while going upstairs- downstairs or while running was absolutely pointless, all your bullets were hitting sky, in csgo pretty often you can hit someone head randomly like that...

Cara quem nasceu na geração q ja tinha o CS GO olhar isso chega ate ser engraçado mais levando em consideraçao que nessa epoca esses eram os melhores graficos q tinham e ainda mais um jogo desse Online garanto q no tempo era a melhor coisa poder ir em uma lan ou ate mesmo ter um pc em casa pra poder jogar e tmb garanto q pra quem pegou essa epoca o jogo n deixa de ser incrivel
e quem joga hoje em dia no cs go e ve q os mapas eram tão diferentes e como eles evoluiram mais eu particularmente queria um mapa mais parecido com esse antigo so com os graficos melhorados pelo q da pra ver são muitas posiçoes e muitos lugares mudados
