Davie McPhail's Bubble Wing Caddis/Grannom

We're back at Davie McPhail's tying desk, this time tying McPhail's Bubble Wing Caddis/Grannom. Tied on our Ultimate Dry Hook, this represents some of the earliest caddis to come off in the spring. Include an egg sack for the female, and tie it one size larger than the male.

A lot of folks tie this pattern without the deer hair wing. Davie's version makes the fly last longer and float better.
