Motion Lab '23 teaser

MOTION LAB is Netherlands based annual event curated by Alesya Dobysh with the focus on developing improvisation skills in dancing and deepening artistic research.
The event consists from the workshop, where guest mentors with different artistic backgrounds share tools for improvisation, and the toolbox jam session guided by Alesya, where participants research on discovered tools and share the practice with other dancers.
In the laboratory artists challenge the boundaries between disciplines, such as contemporary dance techniques and street/club dance related styles, between music and movement, between visual and physical, and work towards developing their individual artistic language.
