Yo man, just started watching your vids cos i want to build pc specifically to play tarkov, and i have question: is ryzen 7 9800x3d and rx 7800 xt enough for 144hz 1440p on streets? In ur tarkov rig vid u had around 180 fps with this cpu, but is it possible with this card? And is the fps drop while you ads depends on gpu or cpu? Would greatly appreciate the answer. Btw if u put away all this stuff going around Intel CPUs, are they on the same level or worse than amds with x3d? Edit: New CPU lowkey caught me lacking with those prices in my area, 848 bucks (400$ more lol, like for a broken Boeing, I was expecting VAT and margins, but not that high) so, are there any resupplies soon or I should consider 7800x3d? Streets are my go to map, so I want 144fps on it, will this CPU deliver it if the GPU would be appropriate, or it will become a bottleneck, so I should wait for the 9800x3d?
I have an 3080 and ryzen 5700 with 16 gbs of ram i used to get 100 fps last wipe now i only get 50 to 70 if im really lucky any tips on what i should change?

But the thing is my computer isn’t like a gigachad streamer PC and I was managing 100-120fps average, now it’s like 65-70fps on Customs and Reserve. Dropping in solo is rough on the PC but squading up seems to help with FPS issues.

I remember I was able to play this game at 60fps 90% of the time with a gtx 1060(6GB) and it slowly started to become unplayable, soon the same will happen to my rtx 4070 ti super and ryzen 7800x3d
how are u using more vram than u have. Your using like 12,119 MB of ur vram
There is a things that is called Virtual Ram, a windows things, this is why when you go in your task manager you have like 22.3/56.1Go despite having 32Go of ram
sometimes RTSS will show more allocated VRAM than actual available
7800x3d 5600mhz cl28 4080 super and my game just feels like ass to the point I cba playing
Where is the ddr3 comparison /s
here you go: ua-cam.com/video/sFacWGBJ_cs/v-deo.html
Would love to see a ddr4 comparison.
i will do a DDR4 version shortly
thats ridiculous im seriously considering just going straight from 32 to 128gb cause i dont see the performance getting much better in the future even tho bsg said theyd put a heavy focus on performance optimizations
lol yeah the performance is so up and down with every update, i love the game and i'm hopeful for better optimization going forward, but at this point i've accepted that it probably won't happen hahah
Hi, thank you for always giving me good information. I play mostly PvE. However, I have low frames, can you recommend me some graphic settings? My computer is 7800X3D/3060TI 8G/RAM 32G.
Dude, you're doing good work, thanks. I wonder if you will be able to test your Intel Arc B580 in Tarkov soon?
thank you!! i've been trying to get a B580 but they sell out instantly any time they come back in stock
Buddy, "Binaural Audio: On" in the description is not so relevant, because you can't turn it on/off anymore! :)
good call, i copy pasted some of the description from other videos, i'll remove that
My experience is that no matter what PC you have, BSG is going to fuk something up next patch and you will be tempted to upgrade again
Damn.. to get a smoother experience we need to go for 64gb which is another €200. (In my country)
What about increasing the paging file size on a 32gb system? Did you test this?
I will do this myself tonight. Hopefully it will decrease the stutters.
it didn't change performance for me
@ yeah, I also tried it and it makes no difference at all.
I have notice PVE = using close to 29 ram to run i have to restart the game after 1-2 raids... it's CRAZY
This was great, any chance you could test a few other games too ?
hey thank you! sure, i mix in other game benchmarks on my channel from time to time as well. let me know if there are specific games you play
I went from 32gb to 64gb of ram, both 6000mhz cl30 and I did not see this level of improvement. I also don't see the game using 40gb of ram either.
what CPU?
@@pyurologie9800x3d with a 3080ti
@@LargeSnowMexican maybe we can chalk that up to the vcache plus the vram?
Should I get 48gigs or 64gigs
if 64 is within your budget, seems like it will be best for this wipe
another BANGER
thanks broooo!!
awesome work as always
thanks so much, appreciate the kind words!
Id go for the 7900 xt if possible or if u can find one a 3090 if u can get a reliable refirbished
X3d chips are essential for Tarkov, no intel cpu has anything comparable
@@webbo1021 thx
@@Bigmeltyhash thx, but aren't refinished ones breaking in a no-time cos they where used for mining?
@@Шевчу́к-г8ц not necessarily, i got myself a refirb 3080ti about 6 months ago from miceocenter for 450 haven’t had any issue
What was ur system paging file on those tests? Its size mildly helps with ram
I know I am considering upping to 64GB - 32 is cutting it close due to the leak issues.
yeah even up to last wipe, 32GB was just fine.. but now you might even push up to the limit with 48GB lol crazy
@pyurologie good thing kits of 64GB aren't to badly priced comparatively
I have an 3080 and ryzen 5700 with 16 gbs of ram i used to get 100 fps last wipe now i only get 50 to 70 if im really lucky any tips on what i should change?
Honestly with how games are now days i would just have 32Gb as standard. If you got music playing and internet windows open it all eats away at it. I have 32gb of ram and when i play tarkov its maxxed this wipe. I just might get more sticks myself. Also make sure its on an SSD, helps loading etc etc.
5700X3D and 32GB RAM would be the best upgrades for you right now
@@pyurologie aight thanks
I have a 5800x3d with 64gb of 3600 cl16 and the game is stutters and overall optimization is way down
yes the vram issue got me in this wipe, usually playin on reserve my 1660 super just using 4gigs of 6, but now it exceed critical line XD like 5999 of 6 *im afraid my 1660 super explode
Use low textures, it should free up VRAM.
@@Keepone974 everything is low unfortunately, my bad using 1660S:')
Im on 32gb ddr4, i910th gen and rtx3080 suprim, the game would run fine around 80 and even getting 100+ fps before the update (only played last wipe), with this new update 16.0 customs in unplayable, getting as low as 20 fps at times with too much stuttering and with ram usage wierdly showing around 90 - 95% utilization... i ordered 2x32gb ddr4 ( my motherboard cant handle ddr5) and will test it soon i hope...
You dont even want to know how tarkov runs on my new system... 9800X3D with a 7900XTX and for some reason i get 60-70 fps on streets. Did all benchmarks and everything works fine. This game is half assed in every way
:(
Glad i wasnt the only one bitching about preformance i had some buddys give me shit
lol, no it's down bad this wipe... not just you
After watching this video, I installed an additional 32GB of RAM that was left at home.
My computer specs went from 32GB 6000 to 64GB 3600MT/s. (I don't remember exactly, but I turned off RAM overclocking.)
I can feel that stuttering and game interruptions have decreased.
(I not only have games on, I also have many tabs of internet and other things on.)
It's not an accurate test, but I feel good.
Always grateful for the great video.
My 5800x3d had no trouble running the game before and now I only get 80 or 90 fps
Same, i bought one just for eft. Was getting 120+ sometimes 100+ every map. 3 wipes later i havent seen 90fps
That's weird. I have the same cpu and i am getting above 120 fps on all maps except streets (60-90)
@@immoralamv9971 strange it used to be like that for me aswell actually a bit higher a few wipes ago

i will be testing my 5000s soon, a lot of people have been reporting the same thing
I've seen the game using 41 gigs of ram while playing in 4K.
yep, same here. even more sometimes lol
32gb is the new 16gb, and 64gb is the new 32gb... honestly.. i'd save up the extra $60-$100 and just buy the 64gb from the beginning
Are there any other modern FPS games that require this amount of RAM to play smoothly?

lol damnn
recently bought 14900k (somehow 7800x3d is more expensive???) and two kits: 2x16GB 6400c32 and 2x24GB 7200c34. if ram has as much effect as it's hyped, i'm probably going to return the 32gb kit
7800x3d is more expensive because its way better, at least for gaming
epic vid good job boss
thank you!
informative video !
thank you!
still on my potato 5800x3d and 32gb, game is sometimes unplayable, ot to mention the server latency and packet loss this patch, smh
thanks for the great content as always
5800x3d potato? XD
Bruh, there's nothing potato about a 5800x3d, it's still a top CPU, it's Tarkov that's potato.
I was playing on a 1700x and now a 9700x and it barely runs better
I hear ya, this patch has been rough for a lot of people, hopefully things get fixed soon
5800x3d is one of the top CPUs on the market for gaming.... :)
i dont even play this game, but that's insanity for a game to pull that much ram. It's obviously an optimization issue feel bad for you guys playin
the performance of this game is up and down with every update lol
Me with 16g of ram
😎
damn, im over here debating if I should buy the game or not but with only 32GB of RAM and a 7700XT looks like it ain't happening..
I have 64 gb of ram and I still get stutters
i have 16gb of ddr4...
7 years of Beta and the game still runs like garbage...Im not giving up on EFT but DAMMMMN
i love this game, i'm always hopeful for better performance, but at this point, i can't really see it significantly changing until they're actually done implementing features and solely focus on re-optimization. the performance is so up and down with every update.
Same here! For me personally I’ve seen about a 30fps drop since last version patch. That’s a big average drop. But the thing is my computer isn’t like a gigachad streamer PC and I was managing 100-120fps average, now it’s like 65-70fps on Customs and Reserve. Dropping in solo is rough on the PC but squading up seems to help with FPS issues.
Game runs like ass now on 7900XT and 5.6ghz pcore 4.4ecore 13700k w 64gb 6000cl30 ddr5. Makes sense. Lol
:(
i have R7 5700X3D + 4070TI SUPER and 32gb ram ddr4 3200mhz and tarkov just runs like shit each and every update.
nice setup, yeah unfortunately this wipe's performance is horrendous even on good hardware
its crazy how i have around the same fps (+- 5 fps) today with my fps nearly 5 years ago. Back then i had a gtx 970, random i5 and 16 gb ram. Today i have a rtx 3060ti with a random amd cpu and 32 ram. Like atleast put some effort to code lmao
I build my pc last week i9 14900k 64gb 6000 mhz and a 4070 super and i got with 1080p on streets around 120-150 fps in online (I took the Settings from Landmark ingame) + i stream the game on my gaming pc.
@@Chilledoutredhead i got a 420mm cooler when i stream and play Tarkov not even close to the 70° idk what people have so :/ "check it atm on Customs online not even close to the 70°
probably my own pc but my ram is at 88% usage while playing xD
me thinking im future proof with 48 lmao!
Shame I love Tarkov but I have 32gb of ddr4 a 4060 and a ryzen 7 7300x and Tarkov has become unplayable for me. I get around 40 FPS on low settings with streets resolution. And gun fights cause my game to explode stutter and freeze down to 20 fps.
Performance for me is much better with this update. In every aspect.
полезное видео. спасибо!!
just bsg things
Have a 9800x3d and 4080S, when I would play Streets online I noticed it would sit at 31.2/32.0 GB of RAM, sometimes the game would crash when loading, others it would load slowly then play terribly for a few minutes. Upgrading from 32 to 64GB of RAM completely solved the issue - my PC is a new build as of the middle of November, I have almost all the graphics settings maxed and I play at 3440x1440. Also, I didn't notice the performance drop in the new wipe, I keep "fps 2" up all the time and the performance seems consistent, but I don't know if the in game metrics are to be believed.
Meanwhile im rocking 16Gb of DDR4 lol
😎
There is 0 reason for Tarkov to be this demanding they are poorly balancing the loads and how players and scavs reduce fps is wild
I litterally had to upgrade my ram today lol. Customs was unplayable 16gb.
I just ordered a 64gb kit of DDR4 for 125€ to go with my 5700x3d waiting in the mail. :)
20 more fps for 64 gb ram
the bigger advantage is the smoothness and getting rid of stuttering
This game have a real problems lmao , how dafuq the ram usage is one : that crazy ? and two : why its lower offline than online ???? it should be the other way around
and i don't know how its possible that you have this amount of frames, i have a 7950X and 4090 and i don't have this number, i heard the 3D V-Cache help a lot but it's crazy
