this reminds me of when stickerless cubes were banned because you could see the colour of a piece even if its at the back just by looking at the edge, but then they realised it was basically impossible to use that to your advantage when speedsolving. A slight bump isnt gonna do much when youre tryna speedsolve an entire cube blind, all it does is help you know where 1 piece is, and thats only if you feel the slight bump.

If someone had overly sensitive touch they could apply a texture that the scramblers wouldn't question even if they notice. People are always talking about strong sense of sight, hearing, smell, and even taste, but rarely do you hear about above average touch.

@@mrfoxesite For the 3x3, no one has gotten under 3 seconds officially, but that still takes years of extreme dedication. It isn't too hard though if you want to just be able to solve it without trying to get fast. If you do actually want to solve one though, I would reccomend using thecubicle's video tutorial.

To avoid the eraser flakes going inside the cube you could remove the white center off the cube, move the cube away, erase the logo and then put back the center
Well would rubbing it with an eraser to the point it gets the logo off cause an even bigger texture difference then the logo , also you are solving it so quickly usually that feeling around for the logo would probably take you longer and only gives you one position
I think it makes sense to make all logos illegal, it makes it much easier to quickly spot illegal cubes even if they might not be one that makes too much of an advantage. Some overly competitive people would definatly make a stink if someone was allowed to use a cube with a printed logo if they were had a sticker cube disallowed.
what if i got my hands sweaty and put more sweat in certain areas to know where pieces are, and other things, like a secret microscopic see through sticker, and other smart ideas like this?
Blindfolded tournaments can easily be cheesed with 1 square having a single, albeit slightly different texture, like small superficial scoring on the surface. Completely invisible, but still unnoticeable to the naked eye. Even just a slight indentation/mismatched square on one is enough
I think cube companies could (maybe even should) sell blank cube caps for like a dollar and the problem would go away

You actually only have to memorize about 20 digits to do it

i thought that too but it was an eraser, not sandpaper. unless i missed something and it was a sandpaper eraser.

Just use acetone with low alcohol you wont have to remove flakes and it should be fine as most plastic can handle it

Video idea: take a rubicks cube that doesnt have stickers on it, then add the stickers of the cube, but scrambled, and when your done, solve it.
It's all good until someone puts invisible textures on the cube that the judge wouldn't notice.

Rubik’s cube companies should do this…
1. Give a extra white cap with no logo.
2. Give a special eraser to erase the printed logo.
What you should do is put a logo in the center of each side so then they don't know which side is which
