All values because if you pass away that’s estate value. Net value of house sure. $1m home less $500k if that is loan remainder. If joint name, $250k belongs to you. There are calls to cap property agents' commissions to not more than $5k to $10k per sale instead of it being a percentage of the sales price. Cos you are right, it takes the same time to sell a 3 room flat at $500k and a 3 room condo at $2.5million. So why should the agent get 5 times the commission? Many systems in the capitalistic economy system is flawed like this. The same goes for car sales and banking etc. People should not have higher commissions just because the products they are selling/serving are higher in value. It is ridiculous and they certainly do not deserve it.
@@joshconsultancy No point negotiating, at the end of the day even if you succeed to nego a lower rate, if they feel you don't give them enough but they still want to try their 'luck', you end up wasting your time because you won't get their best efforts. And they won't tell you either that they are 'sore' over the lowered rate. Its like marrying a woman who does not really love you but needs to settle down. Best to just walk off. Govt should step in. Or there should be an agency out there that charges a fixed rate for everyone.

In reality, hitting a million bucks only doesnt make you a true millionaire. I personally wouldnt call myself a true millionaire unless i have at least $5m networth. Oh well, most people like to make themselves feel big , feel good.
