  • One of the key attractions of Moogfest 2011 was a talk by musician, media artist, record producer, and cultural theorist Brian Eno, who spoke in Asheville, North Carolina, on October 30. His topics included “Music for Airports,” hierarchical systems, “77 Million Paintings,” surrender and control, art and culture, and producing Devo. Eno even shared his favorite joke.

He is so original, smart and funny. He must be a great uncle. I think my own sons learned not to stifle their imaginations from having my sister for an aunt. This is the first person I have heard finding Mozart bad. (I think of Mozart's 40th as a masterpiece. Even as the cliche masterpiece symphony.) I wonder why?

    Hey there,
Thank you for sharing these highlights! Do you have the unedited version of this? I'd really love to have a look back. I asked a question about musique concrete he had a great answer to that I'd love to reference. Thank you!

Sorry, but I recorded only portions, and most of what I recorded is here. I was a member of the audience, and I didn't want to dis the people sitting behind me by raising my camera for more than a few moments at a time.
