Hi guys i have Family that lives in Bayard. I stayed there many summers when I was a kid. I have alot of fun memories in New Mexico. I hope you have fun too! Have a Fun Time! -Stone
Guy's I don't live in Michigan. It was in Door County Wisconsin. The peninsula that runs between Lake Michigan and the Bay of Green Bay. If your here in March we make Maple Syrup. Jorns Sugar Bush. Google it. But if your ever close again I'll take you guys out. I just my van on its first trip. Next month its the Porkies in upper Michigan. And beginning of 0ctober Disney World. Then hopefully Arizona in January, we'll see. Love you guy's stay safe💜💙🐕
You stayed at some awesome places near water - so beautiful! What kind of work do you do? What kindness you showed the family who had to leave during the storm - I'm sure they appreciated your help with their belongings. Need more of that in this world!!! Thank you for being you!
Hahaha… I was going to head up to Lake Meredith but didn’t want to drive up there from Amarillo without knowing about the the cell signal. I still work full time. So beautiful and now good to know about the free camping too. I was in Amarillo during the huge storm. It was scary.
Would you ever consider putting in a small window AC unit and getting a small portable generator? Check out Dave’s RV Life channel. He did a nice job of installing one.
Welcome to Oklahoma. I used live and work near there. You should visit the Ft. Gibson Dam over look. NE and SE Oklahoma have many rivers, lakes and streams.
Yep, those storms and this lifestyle do not go well together... remember when living in a brick and mortar, getting super cozy in bed while the storm raged out there? I loved Roodle's eyes begging you to take that puppy off of him LOL
Dave it seems you get what you wish for. I liked the fact that you were so considerate and understanding towards that family. That's why I love you both and Roodle too as he too is so nice with any dog 🐶🐕 he meets The video was lovely with great campsites and sunsets.
Remembering how frozen TX was just a few months ago when you traveled through. Weather is so key! And love all those copycat folks on your Patreon list. COOL!
Love your videos! Thank you so much for making them and sharing them. What is the tune playing at 7:38? Love it to set the mood of your travels and video!
I lived in Amarillo TX for a couple of years and never went to Lake Meredith. I wish I had now. Looked very beautiful. They’ve had a lot of rain this year so all the vegetation looked really green… Those TX panhandle storms can get intense. Glad to see y’all made it thru them ok.
Another good one guys, always enjoy your advantures! What a storm, it was so nice of you guys to gather what was left that family’s camp. Love all the tips on great places y’all find. Carrie you look awesome in red! God Bless
This is a great video... Thank You! So good to know about a place for the long haul across TX. I was able to find your campground easily on Google Maps. ;-) I hope to soon be car camping in my SUV. It will be a very, very long trip... I live in the putrid humid Godless swamp of SW FL... and will eventually, hopefully find my way to family in far NW WA State via US89 AZ to I-90, Livingston, MT.. I used to travel the West in the 80's and I miss the mountains so much. I last climbed Mt. Ajo, AZ in 2004 and was able to visit Sedona, AZ for only one day recently. I am 63 and retired and I must make this happen before I die. Your videos along with Tristian's (SUV RVing) have been such an inspiration and so very helpful... I hope to see you soon, out on the road. ;-)
Just happened upon your channel. Thanks for sharing info regarding the free camping areas along your way. I like how you incorporate each state welcoming sign across your windshield; nice traveling touch. Looking forward to viewing additional vids. Appreciate your small act of kindness toward the tent camper family after that horrific thunderstorm blew through. Funny though how you mentioned when you first arrived there how you’d have a bird’s eye view of an approaching storm. ☔️
After 3 years it's strange to see you traveling the intestate roads, but when you got to get there it's the way to go. I love Silverton Colorado and the surrounding area. Looking forward to see what you find there. It's the perfect place for jeeps😉
We bought our shuttle bus in Colorado, just on the western side of the Rockies by Denver. The roads were not great, but the scenery was astounding, especially heading into Utah. What a great road trip. Safe travels!
We’ve camped at Gibson Lake too! It was early spring & we were the only ones there! Pretty chilly then, but beautiful! ❤️ Hey, we were disappointed you didn’t show any of the work you were doing in NM-We’re interested in seeing that! Thanks for another good video!
Adding Gibson Lake to our list! Yes, we dropped the ball on showing what work dave was doing. He was remodeling a house that was damaged during the february cold front that moved through the region.
Awe you went threw my state (Missouri ) . I never sleep in a tent. While a storm goes threw due to my aunt n uncle And kids got electrocuted luckily they lived threw it . it melted their tent. Glad no tents are made of metal any more
Hi Dave and Carrey. I enjoy watching your adventures, especially when you went as far north in Canada where I live. With the summer season really coming down upon us, I was wondering how you cope with the heat. Are the two roof fan vents on your van enough to help relieve you of the heat and humidity? Or, do you think one should install an air-conditioning unit during this season? Looking forward to your opinion on this. Thank you.
How do you all deal with heat at night especially with plans to go to NM for summer. That is the one thing that keeps us at our sticks and bricks all summer, I can't sleep in over 70 degrees in the van at night. During the day like you said, shade and water spot are key. Beautiful spot tho!
@@oneadVANtureatatime Good pick. I see what u did there. Even if at your campsite, unlike snakes or ticks. Leeches you can still avoid by just staying out of the water altogether.🤔👍😀
I always look forward to seeing you guys each Saturday morning! Safe travels!
Me too…love these kids
Me too!! Love watching their travels

I love Roodles enthusiasm when you arrive at places.

I’m glad I wasn’t in that tent during the storm! ⛈ As always you two were kind to help them. Take care traveling. 🙂 🐕 🚐 ☀️
Thanks for the adventure. Caught myself cleaning off my screen. Here it was your windshield lol
I did the same thing lol
Would you ever consider putting in a small window AC unit and getting a small portable generator? Check out Dave’s RV Life channel. He did a nice job of installing one.
Safe travels - especially during those storms. Thank you for sharing the wonderful campsites and views.

Aw, Roodle met a new friend. How cute!
Dave, knauf's hiring
Thanks for another fun video guys! For some reason, I enjoyed the storm portion the most. Looking forward to seeing Colorado :)

Neat, guys! Roodle was like, ummmm...lol! 😊
We bought a magnetic screen for our outhouse at our cabin, it’s working well, thank you!
I just left OKC yesterday. I was going to go to Muskogee but I wanted to head north and get out of the heat. Lol
That was AWESOME.
Safe travels 💖🐾💖

Welcome to the land of enchantment!💗
Safe travels, Dave Carrie and Roodles!!
I remember when you made those awesome screens Carrie. What was the name of that tape you used to hold them up?
We’ve camped at Gibson Lake too! It was early spring & we were the only ones there! Pretty chilly then, but beautiful! ❤️ Hey, we were disappointed you didn’t show any of the work you were doing in NM-We’re interested in seeing that! Thanks for another good video!

You guys are simply the best!! 😊
Just found you guys and subscribed. No AC unit? I'm wanting to be like you guys now that I'm retired, but with AC.
Awe you went threw my state (Missouri ) . I never sleep in a tent. While a storm goes threw due to my aunt n uncle And kids got electrocuted luckily they lived threw it . it melted their tent. Glad no tents are made of metal any more
How do you find places to work and stay at ?
Another great episode!! Hope y’all are surviving this heat wave!!
Good video, curious what type of work were you doing? Nice to see your doggy had a friend. Lol
Wow! Lucky getting a free camping spot on a Saturday in the summer. What was your plan B if they were full?
You bypassed Kansas city😏

Hello... we are currently working on a video about this very topic! Thanks for the kick in the behind to finish it!
No gps coordinates for campgrounds where you stayed…bummer.
So Dave what do you do for registering the van?
We have a mailbox service (AMERICAS MAILBOX) in South Dakota that registers the van for us (for a small fee) when we are not in the state.
How do you all deal with heat at night especially with plans to go to NM for summer. That is the one thing that keeps us at our sticks and bricks all summer, I can't sleep in over 70 degrees in the van at night. During the day like you said, shade and water spot are key. Beautiful spot tho!
And meant to ask, what is the primary app you all use for these spots? Holy moly, free camp with free showers with that view...yes please!
We are currently working on a video about this exact topic!
If you had to chose one that will be at your campsite... Snakes, leeches or ticks? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
That's a tough one...I will go with leeches 😂 Carrie might not agree with me .
@@oneadVANtureatatime Good pick. I see what u did there. Even if at your campsite, unlike snakes or ticks. Leeches you can still avoid by just staying out of the water altogether.🤔👍😀
That was exactly what I was thinking 😂
Second! lol
