My brother had a 74/ 260 that vapor locked a lot cuz of the sealed carburetors. Living in Las Vegas that was in high school and that prompted me to buy the 73/240, when I graduated h.s., I worked at a dealership here in Las Vegas Jack Beiger Nissan. After fully restoring a beautiful and nice ride overall, a lady pulled in front of me and she ran the red light and I hit her in the rear end. so she had a little shimmy in the front end of after repairs,just didn't drive the same anymore. Really piss me off cuz I just restored it. Su side drafts for nice fuel supply correction, helped a lot. I'm sad about that and wish to get another one.... even the 73 model that I had, had those same 74 model sealed carburetors that also vapor Locked in heat conditions. I took mine off immediately and replace them with the earlier models g carburetors su coned- style side drafts and it ran like a charm.
I loath terms like survivor it's used in classic cars usually means no maintainence .Had a Survivor Shelby GT needed to be restored. Eveything was shot from being parked for years.
