    In the example , Free Path Loss calculation is not mentioned. How did you find the number of Ls=203.5 dB ? Can anyone explain it?

      There is a calculation actually , I should have forgotten this = >>> Free Space Loss ( in dB) = 32,5+20 log F ( in Mhz) +20 log D (in km) .The distance ,D is 36.000 km since it is geostationary satellite . Frequency is 10.000 Mhz
      FSL= 32.5 + 20log 10.000 + 20 log 36000 > 32.5 + 20X4 + 20X 4.55 = 203.5 dB

    Not sure I understood what happened to the "eta" in the formula for the Pr. Can someone please explain

      I have the same question... The directivity is replaced by the gain and the eta disappears....

      @@ClaraPeregrin Gain = eta * directivity. Eta is the efficiency of the radiation, normalized (between 0 and 1, with 1 being perfect efficiency).
