    2:40 - 3:00 Feels like there's a hawaiian monster that came from somewhere in Hawaii and destroyed the camp.

    Didn't she(Nancy) sound tired when she was talking to Big Island Mike?

      Oh yeah. Anyone would sound tired when they're dealing with someone who is not listening and the person isn't someone who would use anger to get out of it.

      AdventureGameFan8 why must those copyright people be such jerks? especially with Nancy Drew games?

      The ridiculous thing is that YT often detects something stupid like "nature sounds" or "sound of waves" in these videos. My guess is that the developers use sound effects recorded by someone else (with their permission of course). But YT detects them as copyrighted content.

      I'm still planning to do it really soon, I decided to pick this one since it's rather short. I've been very busy at work lately and don't feel like starting a longer game, at least until things calm down a bit.

      yeah it does seem that the games have gotten longer as the series has been going on

    • @AdventureGameFan8
      @AdventureGameFan8  10 років тому +2

      Yeah, there's something to it, but this game is an exception to that rule, it came out after Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon, for example, but it's shorter. I still liked it and found it to be quite relaxing.

      @@AdventureGameFan8 The same thing is, it also came out after Danger by Design like this Paris game came out Last Train to Blue Moon Canyon.

    What are your feelings on 3rd person v. 1st person, and how about games like Sherlock Holmes that allowed you to pick any view you wanted?
    I cannot get into first person games, as dumb as it sounds I feel no connection to the character, and it's not like I can imagine myself wandering around a cave. So, I basically can't play 1st person games and enjoy them very much.
    They must be easier to make since you don't have to do the animation thing, or do it badly (cough, Cognition, cough). And you don't have to design a Nancy Drew that most won't be able to identify with.
    Still, while I don't mind watching your playthoughs of the ND games...well, I will never play them. That's my own issue, but I just don't bother buying 1st person games anymore; well, Star Citizen, but that's it.

      I've always preferred 3rd person games, not just adventure games, but action games as well. I got used to the 1st person though, so I don't mind it as long as the game itself is good.When it comes to the new Sherlock Holmes game, the 3rd person perspective felt a bit awkward, I didn't like how they implemented it, so I choose the first person one. I think that's a nice feature though.

      AdventureGameFan8 It's been a while since I played SH, but I think they had options for everything, like having a selection cursor, which I adore, because flailing around like I am having a seizure whilst trying to select a plant, like in the Witcher games, is not my idea of a good time.
