I can just tell but that look he gave at the end of the interview that he has the Bag secured and it's just a matter of time before they announce the extension 😏
Would love that and seems fair considering he only played the one year..but doubt its that cheap the way the market is..unless maybe its front loaded so if all goes well it can be altered after couple years
I don’t really see a way it doesn’t get done, but just remember if it doesn’t they still have all of this upcoming season and 2 years of franchise tags if need be. That’s not ideal because you want trust and happiness in that locker room but it’s just something to think about, it’s not as if it’s all or nothing. The fact that so much of the team is young and on rookie deals gives them some flexibility right now but in 4 years they’re gonna have to pay everyone. They kinda did each other a favor last year with that mini extension so I’m certainly hoping they’re negotiating in good faith for the sake of the entire team
My concern is, just when the Packers finally have their Roster cap in line with reality they may give out such large contracts that it limits building the Team again. Last year the young Team looked to be working so well together. Would sure appreciate that going for at least another 3-4 years. I recall when the Packers were in the Super Bowl and then afterward they started giving more big contracts and they Team really never went back. Guys need to get paid for their work but not to the point of destroying the Team as a result.
My advise is Jordan is gonna take a team friendly deal and is waiting so his deal doesn’t negatively impact other QBs looking to make top dollar and puts GB in a competitive advantage with QB cap %.
I would really hope so but I don't think he is. That would show a great leader and set an example but they want money. Gonna be right back to where we were with Rodgers
That’s less than 40$ milly a year… not gonna do the job!!! It’s gonna be 50 plus million a year believe that. He was the BEST QB IN THE LEAGUE for at least 10 games
If he truly is planning to sign that I only see it meaning 1 thing. Both the Packers and Love himself both are totally expecting a Super Bowl this season. He would simply not sign at that rate if he thought there was any chance he would regress. After the Super Bowl win he knows he would reset the market so signing a baker size deal now is for 1 reason only and that’s to guarantee this team can make moves to win multiple super bowls during this window.
I hope it's not Gute holding things up. If Love doesn't work out, everyone needs to go. Sounds harsh but think about it, opportunities in the NFL don't get any better than the ones Gute and Lafleur have had, HoF QB playing at an MVP level, then their handpicked QB successor they've spent three year grooming. If they can't get it done with these things, then they can't get it done and should not be employed by the Packers anymore.
I don’t think you realize how hard it is to win the Super Bowl lol. We’ve been super close several times since our last one, it’s been little mistakes that have cost us. It’s heartbreaking but Gute has done a pretty good job overall at building our teams the last few years. Love is a stud, I’m not worried about him producing. With the talent he has, he’s only going to improve with experience
Jarred Goff has 3 Superbowls plus an NFC game while he is in his prime. If Love had that resume he may be worth over 50M. With one good rookie season he should be thrilled at $35-38 M. He’ll get the blockbuster deal after he wins a couple of Superbowls.

Haha you may be right
@@SidelineScoopprobably and I hope we extend him 💚💛
@Cjk12j450 it's not if... it's when? how much? And how long?
Clark needs to be extended!! Be dumb not to
I’m worried they won’t GB don’t always give that 3rd contract
@Drockyyonkick me too. But this is one they need too. He will go elsewhere and do good
There supposedly finalizing a 4 year $155 million dollar deal for jordan love
I would love them to sign him that cheap
That would be crazy.
I doubt it tho.
Would love that and seems fair considering he only played the one year..but doubt its that cheap the way the market is..unless maybe its front loaded so if all goes well it can be altered after couple years
Now with Trevor’s contract, Love’s would be around 220 for four years. Should have risked it last year, would have been around 20-30 a year.

I’ve heard 4 year 155 mill 👀

@@andyadams7806Brady would take around 14 mil a year. Worked out well for him. It wouldn't be the dumbest thing to take less than expected

Goff got 53 per.... not a chance
Maybe we will do a mahomes type deal like 8 or ten years to spread the money around more for guys like the receivers and all our young guys
He should get a LITTLE more than Goff I’d imagine

Wait I was told Rodgers was the reason for all the drama in Green Bay…. Hmmmmmm funny how people act differently for different players

As long as we keep jordan love for 15-20 years that's all i care about
3 superbowls?
3 Super Bowls? He’s been to one and got held to 3 points 😂
🙄 Google is a thing
3 Super Bowl?! You sure bout that chief?! He went to one superbowl which he lost with the rams and that’s bout it…
