Battery price are 1500 rs. to 2500 rs. approximately in service center, please do not buy Duplicate Battery

10 screws on G7 power; 1 screw is behind small "s" sticker about 1 o'clock position .
2 tabs at top of internal bezel, lift from battery side until it releases. My bezel plate was tight. All those small screws have blue thread locker, press your torx driver tightly down to not strip heads. Use small point soldering iron to heat stubborn screws to release thread locker.

Thank you for your video. Without it I would not have felt confident enough to attempt to replace my battery myself. Ended up breaking the fingerprint reader in the process but I was able to get a replacement for $15 shipped and now I'm back up and running again.

Followed the guide and got my swollen battery replaced, got myself a bottle of spray rubbing alcohol and used the same battery method as you and it came out just fine, so thank you. 😁
My battery swelled, forcing open the case. What's the story on the backplate? Adhesive? Is there a part number? I have a Moto G7 power.
Adhesive it's a joint to back panel and body, try to visit on service center in your city for best solution

Thanks man. Taken me 3 hours to take out the screws, had to find the appropriate screwdriver for it. After I succeeded, everything else was easy.

Wonderful video. I used thinner with a q-tip ramming it between the battery and glue strips to loosen the glue from holding the battery in place. Changed my battery without any problems after watching this. Thank you for posting this video.

Thanks much for the video. I had already replaced the battery in my G7 Power once before but thought it prudent to check the procedure and sequence before replacing it a second time. It took me about 10 minutes start to finish. But ...

Thanks brother. Thanks to you I just dismantled my first phone. The battery had swollen so badly it was a fire risk, but I didnt want to chuck the phone too because it had sensitive data on it. I removed the battery carefully, and might even try to replace it myself. Thanks for your help

G7 must clearly have problems with Swollen Batteries. Thw fact i find tons of complaints after 2 years. Fortunately mine survived 5 years before Battery swollen.

Thanks! I followed the instructions and it worked. Note if you get a white light on the front of your phone, the battery is probably dc either on the top or the bottom if you replaced your charge port

One step not to miss is after you've disconnected the old battery, hold the power button for 10 seconds. Doing so discharges any remaining electrical power stored in the inner workings. Not doing so might keep the ear speaker from working once you connect the new battery.

Thank you for your video. Without it I would be still intimidated to feel confident enough to attempt to replace my battery myself I would have bought another phone like I always have done.. I open phone put everything back together but ended up not placing the power strip on correctly. It showed that it was charging but not really. After an over night charge still nothing reopening again reinserted strip correctly it worked this time, resealed phone once again discovered that the fingerprint reader wasn't working did not show in my settings so here we go again LOL 😂, Reopen phone this part was tricking trying to reconnect the strip for the reader I was successful after an hour YEAAH, All is good thank you for taking the time to share with us folks. I'm back up and running again.

Can you include where you purchased your Motorola battery with the hold down cover adhesive? Most sets sold in the USA do not have the genuine battery nor the screen to secure the back. Thank you in advance. Love the video.. very true and informative.

The battery replacement went very well, and thanks to your step by step instruction, I was able to have much success. If anyone else reads this, please remember to "condition" your new battery with letting it run almost all the way down after the first, second, and third full charges. Don't overcharge it..but fully charge the new battery and use it until it lets you know it is a low battery. That conditioning will make it last much longer.
... What about the fingerprint reader conection on the backplate. I purchased a new back,with the adhesive/gasket already insitu. But it has no sign of the finger print reader (i guess i could possble transfer over, from the old back, if possible ?).

Battery doesn't charge properly. I've swapped out charging port twice. Still before long it's not charging properly. I've got to wrap the cord around the phone. Think changing battery will help ? Or keep changing the charging ports. ?

I notice on the top left corner of your battery, the word "Motorola" was written there and there was also their logo. I would definitely want to get the same battery as you.

What happens?? Could it be you have to heat up that adhesive in order to remove it without breaking things or are there small connectors that break (like tends to happen with laptops)??
It's heatup the back cover to release adhesive tape between body + back panel

Don't leave it plugged in when it's 100% charged.
Yes, its overcharging, that's why a battery swelling, proper charge is 95 to 98 approximately, not a 100 %

Please do not overcharging your, that's why battery swelling issue generated, need to replace battery in service center in your city
