Hello. I am currently leaving this comment via my Moto Power g7. My phone is several years old, and I have been having difficulties charging it for awhile. It finally pretty much died a recently. No amount of cleaning or jiggling the cords helped this time. It died because I was unable to charge it. Saw this video, ordered a new charging port from an ebay dealer, put on some disposable gloves and a headlamp, and went to work. It's now charging again! A new lease on life for my phone. Thank you so much for this helpful video. I appreciate it! 🤗💓👍🙌👊

Hi, i've been watching in Aliexpress this port replacement, and i see two version, brazilian and us, the brazilian version seems like more longer than us version, do u know the difference between those 2?
Hi! Yes the difference is that one port it's made for a specific phone, the International is longer and it will not fit the US version, if you have a charging problem the best way to do is to remove the port from your phone and see what is the one you need , if you need the US version, the only option is to buy the USB port but soldering it's required, I have done a couple with a good iron and lots of patience as it comes with more than 10 pins, I will upload a video soon. In the meantime check eBay, I have seen some used but those guys are asking between $50 and $70
Yes, the International Brazilian Charging port will not fit the USA phone, the International uses 1 antenna only but the USA phone comes with 2 antennas. Since the two phones look alike the best way to find out is to open the phone to see the part you need, you could try to find it online, I have seen some eBay sellers asking a fortune for one of these
@@nexxusish Hi there! unfortunately these Motorola phones with the type C charger port have problems with that part and the problem is that it's hard to find the Port, I have seen some used ones at eBay and if you find it try to do it yourself
It depends what country you are, also depends on who sells these charging ports, the type C port can cost $3.00 Dollars and the whole Flex cable with the Port mounted can be between $10 and $50 Plus Labor
By the way, there are two types of screen / LCD, the one with and the one without frame, I recommend the the one with frame as it comes already factory mounted and easier to install, the one without frame takes more time and does not sit on the frame firmly and it's possible to break faster

EZ-Fixit where can I find it is there name I must search ?
You can search in that very popular website or internet Type Charging port for moto g7 and you will get lots of places where to get it
EZ-Fixit ok I’m searching but I don’t see the one you have
@@Moebeastz First you need to pull out the one in your phone so you know exactly what it look like, as there are a few variations, the US version, the Brazilian version, the international, etc , once you know the shape of yours then ASK GOOGLE and you will see amazon, ebay, etc

Where do I find this part? Also if you can reply to my comment with the link for the part.
First remove the part from your phone to see which one you need, you may find the part here, suggestion only: www.ebay.com/itm/143853888617?hash=item217e5c2469:g:7gkAAOSwwlNft26

How much does a new charger port coast
It depends what country you are, also depends on who sells these charging ports, the type C port can cost $3.00 Dollars and the whole Flex cable with the Port mounted can be between $10 and $50 Plus Labor
I need a video on how to replace my screen on my Moto g power I have everything to do it
Hi! Thank you for reaching out, I have one to upload, in the meantime check this out; ua-cam.com/video/CCAxKQl-AIY/v-deo.html
By the way, there are two types of screen / LCD, the one with and the one without frame, I recommend the the one with frame as it comes already factory mounted and easier to install, the one without frame takes more time and does not sit on the frame firmly and it's possible to break faster

I did upgrade on the g7 power and coundnt use wifi a little away from home... People complained but lenovo font give a fuck about customers
I really really really liked my Moto G7 Power. Battery died, got tolls etc. but then I found out that it was Not Compatible with Tracfone (maybe no services) because of the new............ BUT anyone wants to buy mine (back is off & the finger print sensor broke - A phone tech might could make it compatible for use. ------- I just don't want to throw it away or recycle.
Sure I hope someone is interested
I have the same phone but one big problem so my phone can charge i have to fold the charger around my phone
And im only 14
Plz help
Hi, Try to clean the charging port with something sharp like a needle, sometimes this gets full of lint and the connector from the cable doesn't go all of the way in, also with the needle push the connectors inside the port to see if they are loose or broken and if they are, a new charging port will be needed. I hope this helps
@@ez-fixit4044 is there any videos on how to do that?
ua-cam.com/video/zSrJb0T5_Rk/v-deo.html
This video is from an iPhone but it's about the same problem, just be careful, the port from the Moto G7 is more fragile than the one of the iPhone
Great job and video. You were very careful with the product which I would appreciate for a tech working on my phone. Do all Moto G7 power phones from different regions have the same connector? Mine is from Mexico. Thanks. Keep up the great work!
Hi! Yes the connector is the same TYPE "C" but the shape of the USB Charging Dock Port Flex inside of the phone is different, so before you replace it you need to know what Charger port is the one for your phone
How much would it cost to repair In us money
It depends on the shop and the price of the part, the cheapest could be $50.00 USD
when I did mine the board was only 4 pounds and I used my neighbours screwdrivers
Can you fix mine
Sure! send it to me
The phone is fixed, signal has gotten weaker tho
Hi Shayne! Just make sure the brackets are set right, many of them have the antennas on them and if they are not placed correctly there might be a poor signal.

Hi Alex, just watch UA-cam Videos and you will learn more than what I know
Are you kidding me? You take 99% of the video showing you taking the phone apart and reassembling it and don't even show how you did that POS solder job? WTF? What a joke. Haven't any of you commenters search and easily found the vast amount of quality charging port repairs there are on youtube?
