I’m a Lonely Rocker, never played in a band and now that I’m getting older I regret not trying harder to jam with others. I enjoy your lessons and tab, thank you.
Thanks man! I hope you can jam with some other musicians man. It's a great way to get better and it fun! Backing tracks on UA-cam are awesome as well! Thanks for watching man!
@@johnnyelvisAsk around your local guitar shop. I also play twice a week with an unlikely group at a church. Make no mistake about it these guys absolutely Rock. I get to play pretty hard much of the time solos and everything, for a good reason too man. ✝️ These guys all play in Classic Rock bands, I bring my 80s flare into it. Never heard this at a place of worship before, just what I needed. 😁👍🏻
@@DeputyVanHalen5150 thanks for the info I might try to find some local churches to see if I can find people that play. The music shops are usually about an hour to 2 hours away unfortunately.
@@johnnyelvis The church actually had seeked me out. I started rehearsing with them, I started playing live quietly with them just playing chords til I got comfortable. Now I play mostly leads, I thought that I was going to get thrown out for drifting into my style. Turns out that everyone really likes it. Good luck brother. 💪🏻😁🎸
I swear the 1st time I heard this was around Christmas of 86. I was blown away, but yeah all of these killer 80s tunes always lead back to summertime. Especially the summer of 87 on this one.
Thanks so much for the kind words man! Yeh, I just leave it all in there ... I mean we're human. I think it's important to get parts accurate and precise, and definitely practice your butt off to get there. But we're human and part of the beauty of playing are the little hiccups and human elements. Sometimes I think we live in a world where stuff is to massaged and perfect musically (from an editing perspective).
Really cool lesson Marty like how you came up with the ideas for the intro the wha definitely works always cool to see the other Murph 60,s keep up the cool stuff man thanks 👏👍🤘
Great job, Marty! Yesterday I was looking up tutorials for this very song, and now you have come out with the best lesson yet! 🎯💯 I like your idea to use the wah for the intro
Awesome! Thank you, man. I have my talk box to my buddy Anthony that took over for me after I played for years with slippery when wet. I never bought another one, so I decided to use the wah wah. I actually have an EHX cockfight plus (that I meant to my son) that has a tall box emulator on the side. It's pretty rad!
Thanks Marty! Like Tommy, I'll be working on my dock today. I assume he was gettin paid though. BTW I must know all the words. I'm one of those weirdos that used to spend the first few days with a new album singing along while reading the liner notes. Don't get much of that these days.
I'm on the dock today too man. But food ain't free (usually) so here I am! Lol. I probably know 80% of these words but when out on the spot I'm a complete goober! 😂😂😂
I couldn’t stand Bon Jovi when this came out , I was more into Maiden, Priest , VH , AC/DC etc… - but in hindsight Bon Jovi were /are miles and away better than anything “new” I’ve heard in the last 28ys or so

Ive tried since I was a teen and am now almost 40. It's been almost impossible to find jam buddies.

Same here!

Just realized I hit my one year anniversary!!! For all please support this man; he is doing the Lord's work for us!
Thank you so much my friend.
Amazing lesson!!! Yes I do listen to lyrics to help me know when to change.🎸
No surprises: another great lesson! Many thanks,Marty.
Much appreciated man. Thanks for watching 😎🎵

Very happy to help. Thanks for watching!
I like your style Marty. You play all the cool songs from my early days!
Thanks Steve! I love the music of our generation!
You are the best teacher out there! Thanks for another great lesson that included some wrinkles to sound like a pro while playing it!!!

Awesome. Thanks!
@@Ranch5150SkinWalker you’re so welcome, thanks for sharing all your knowledge, we all appreciate it.
Once again Marty you have made my day!!!🍺
Fantastic! Glad to help. 😎🎸

Thanks Mark!! When you have to make something f work and you're the only guitarist in the band, you gotta pull out some gimmicks and tricks. Lol 😎🎸🤟🏻
Desmond has co-written several big hits over the decades
Yeh, he had some mega hits!
A very well-written and produced song. It's simple yeah but it's loaded with hooks and the final modulation at the end is gold!
Great lesson! Thank you!!
Awesome! Thank you for the support! 🙏
Thanks for the solo Marty!
You're welcome man! Let it rip!
Awesome sound! Thanks for sharing !
You're welcome! Thanks for checking out the video man.
This is a great lesson😊
Thanks for watching. Very happy to help! 😎🎸
Dude, I am the same way. I don’t know any lyrics I just listen to the riffs. Probably for the best with alot of these 80s bands😂
lol. Part of my problem is I can't understand what they heck they're singing half the time. And I'm kinda deaf now. 😂
Nice! Thanks 🤘 Marty
You're welcome! Thanks for all the support dude!
Thanks for your lesson
You're welcome! 🤟🏻😎
Killer lesson Marty! Rock on! 💪🏻😁🎸 love this one! Lot's of leads that work great over major chord progressions in this one.
Thanks dude! Great song to jam over and play lead for sure.
Man between this one and Man in the Box, I’m really thinking about getting a talk box.
I w heard there are some decent ones out there now that you don't need to run through a PA system or separate amp/speaker or use a mic .
I like when u say the key of song, it helps to use those licks in other tunes or other keys. craig
Nice job Marty
Thanks man! Glad to help. 😎🙏
Thanks Marty!!!
You're welcome man! 😎
You’re a very blessed man Marty 👍 This is really great, from the tabs to the commentary 😎
Thank you kindly ! 🎸😎🎵
Made simple Well explained bravo,!
I love your "Most of the time I'm singing gibberish" This is one of the reasons I think we could be friends 🤣🤣🤘😎🎸
Man I just don't listen to the words closely! Haha. Or I can't understand em. 😂😂😂
@@Ranch5150SkinWalker I hear you there are some songs I can sing along for 75% then the other 25% I just try and sing on key so it blends in. LOL
@@ThisOldGuy3 me too. I laugh when I finally find out what the words are compared to my version.
