If i try to connect kali to metasploitable it is refused. Any Idea?

hi when i set the network to use internal network it does not get an ip address on the ethernet do i manually add ip address on both machines

New virtual machine and open new window in file menu is disabled in vmware workstation 17, any suggestions,?
