Scooter rallies/rideouts are a blast. I started going to them in the 90's, lots of great times with really cool people.
If you get a runner you need both a 50 and 180cc ones but make sure you get the old shape one years up to 2005

Stock runner 180cc with malossi variator best wheelie machine ever. Sometimes I wish that I kept mine stock, instead of trying to reach 40hp. Nice machines with a lot of possibilities.

You should do a full Aliexpress build on some junkyard scooter and see how well it works compared to name brand components and also see what parts doesn´t need to be top of the line. Could help some people save on parts when building on a budget ( me). Love youre vids btw

As someone who owns a 2007 Gilera DNA 50 (Basically a motorcycle frame with a Runner engine strapped to it), these things haul. Goofy little bugger managed to go over 60mph on a stock Piaggio 50cc cylinder

You need a runner or a typhoon 172. Best scooters you can buy. Or just buy an engine off eBay and mount it in any piaggio

@@Jako070 i meant putting a 172/180 motor in the typhoon we have here in the US. Frames look similar enough bet it's just a motor mount and some wiring. I've seen some people on the Typhoon groups swap 125s and 180s into 50 frames so its not impossible

I broke a spline off the front side of a front primary sheave I cant find what its for or if its important online, the claw washer is seated correctly im not talking about the splines on the inside but the internet doesnt understand that. Could anyone tell me what its for and if it matters/will cause damage?
Those Gilera runner 180's were a huge thing around here in the netherlands, in the early 2000's. i had a swapped out one on a 50cc frame for almost 6 years, to get it a sort of road 'legal' on a moped licence plate when i was 16 years old lol, by law its still illegal and a true motorcyle around here. Those things are sick af they pull like crazy its insane! i still regret selling it to this day. but ye thats life right.

Your best bet is to buy a typhoon put a hexagon 125 2t it’s not gonna be the same as a runner but over in the UK it’s a common swap. I’ve got a runner myself and it’s a four stroke with a Vespa GT 300 engine in it and over an America you can’t really get hold of a runner but you can get hold of a typhoon and you can buy the loom from the UK to do your typhoon were thinking about, because you’ll have the power of the runner
not only that if you get a typhoon you’ve got more content for building a 172 or a 180🤷🏼♂️🫡

@@Twistandgouk my ludix 2002 has been solid. Easiest scooter to work on by far. Gave it a doppler crank and new bearings 4 years ago along with new carb and 70cc kit and more after I bought it from a kid who had abused it. Been running perfect ever since.
