Alicia, I can't believe anyone would say they haven't the hiccups and booboos..... we all do... so glad you showed us all your saves. Just wanted to let you know I completed Channel Membership during this video..... I love everything you are doing with the Sheetloads and the once in awhile downloads. This month has been quite busy for me doing Taxes for family and friends so hopefully after April 18th I can get back to crafting instead of just watching videos.... I have gotten so far behind......TFS....🤩🤩🤩
New subscriber via Debbie at PROJECT39 Mini Albums. I instantly liked your channel because you kept it real, miscalculations and all. Too many crafters on UA-cam edit out anything imperfect, leaving the viewers minimizing their own talents in comparison. Thanks for a great video. Looking forward to following your design processes. 🌺
Almost all of the time!!! Your cards came out lovely and 18 to top it off!!! Your foiling came out perfect! I'll make sure to look for the fabulous sentiments, Thank you!!!
Love your set of cards even with all the mishaps along the way. Seeing all of this made me feel so much better about the times when things don't go right for me. So thanks for leaving all of this in your video. You inspired me to use this sketch to finish off a 6X6 paper pad that I've been working through. Thanks for the inspiration, Alicia.
Thanks for persevering and sharing this sheetload rewind with us! I have 3 parts of this collection but wasn't sure what to do-now I have inspiration! Thank you!
“a train wreck of a video” Bahaha! I’m so glad you went ahead an posted this, warts and all. It helps us to know we’re not the only ones who do this kind of stuff. Thanks for all your Sheetloads and videos.
That happens to me especially when I start crafting at 11pm! LOL. I watched a video on YT and then I get ideas in my head and go for it. Love your cards, Nicole
Well, you are only human! I’m glad you persevered. I decided to watercolour some Easter critters to make cards with, using a cheap set of paints. Now, I’m no pro at water colouring, in fact, I’m not even an amateur, but the paints are terrible and the critters look awful! I’m going to try and salvage what I’ve done but the paints will be going to my little niece who I know will be happy to have them. 😂
Oh,my goodness! I chuckled, thinking of my times struggling with cards (and projects). You were a real trooper in sticking with the cards. They are all lovely! Thanks for sharing and being 'real' about making them.
Amazing cards Alicia 😻 I love your card designs, the pattern papers and your sentiments. Even with everything that went wrong, you can be proud of yourself and your cards ❤ thanks for sharing your creativity Hugs xx
LOL. I'm so glad you stuck with it and I love the way the cards turned out. Sorry you had trouble but glad to know it happens to everyone. At least you had enough of the card stock to continue. Usually I mess up the last piece I have! 😄Thank you for sharing and thanks for the bonus sentiments!
Honestly, if I would have had more of the paper, I probably would have started over and pretended like it never happened. But, you are correct, it happens to all of us, so I am glad I could share a glimpse behind the 'magic' of video editing. ;) Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy the BONUS.
I am having that kind of day right now... only it's covering a few days. I had X rays done on my right clavicle again, and something went wrong, as my clavicle is in pain again, and I don't have the same freedom of movement... so crafting is on hold for the moment.
Alicia, those cards are beautiful. Thank you for showing all the problems you had. It encourages me to keep going when things go wrong. I need to make a set of these cards.
Wow, I’ve only been watching your channel for about a week and I’m loving it. Your cards came out so pretty and love the foiling part of it, I’ve never foiled but that looks interesting. Thank you for sharing.
GREAT cards Alicia! I have many bad days crafting it seems lately as I am so distracted and cannot focus. Well, has more to do with moving in with my mom to help her as she is declining. Have setup a small crafting area in my old bedroom as a teen. Just trying to get organized and my head together to start crafting here. 😁
Glad you left in the challenges! I have done similar things many times. Somedays I end up with less cards, or I check out my book of Sheetload of Cards patterns and change the layout!
Alicia, I am so glad to see that even you can make mistakes (I do that all the time!) and yet you managed to 'save' and make some fabulous cards! So inspiring!
Very nice recovery! I'm glad you stayed with it because I liked the paper combo from the opening shots and would have hated to see it wasted. If anyone says they've never messed up when making a card they either have a really bad memory or they're lying.😀 I oftentimes use papers I wouldn't use for anything else to make a prototype so I don't feel so bad if I scrap the whole thing. QUESTION ABOUT YOUR SILHOUETTE AND ELECTRONIC CUTTING: I don't have one but am curious if could you foil your entire sheet of sentiments first (if you have a big enough piece of foil) and then run it through your Silhouette. Would it scrape along the foil or gouge iinto it and destroy it? Inquiring minds want to know -- ha! Thanks for the great Rewind.
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment, Lucy! I don't think the Silhouette would scratch something that is already foiled. My Minc and my foil sheets are not large enough for a full 8.5x11 so I didn't test that.
I think you are being a little hard on yourself :-)! Cards turned out great and you edited the video perfectly. Couldn't tell you were at the point of throwing them away. Would have been a shame. TFS. I will be making my 18 cards soon.
I am glad I am not the only one to have days like this. These cards are beautiful. When you printed out your sentiments, did you use a laser printer, or ink jet. I am wondering if using a laminator and toner foil would work to do the same thing? Thanks.
For the toner foil, it has to be a laser printer and you can definitely try a laminator. I did that for years. Just make sure to let it warm up for a while. Like :20-:30 minutes probably. Thanks for watching.
I was making birthday pop up platform card but I wanted it to look like birthday cake with 2 different pop up platform, so I need to shrink the top platform but it didn’t work so I made it with 2 of the same but took off the bottom lip. It took 3-4 days to finish it.
Glad you enjoyed the video. The font is called Laurens. Here is a link: creativemarket.com/AnnasAlam/6960950-Laurens-Soft-Serif-Display-Font?PPC_GOOG__Search_GB_DSA_RLSA_FontTypes&gclid=Cj0KCQjwt_qgBhDFARIsABcDjOc3bx_5t4t3PWvXIf1zReVkcLg1PWvPjRkH_sKqPhdmBpEOAlqshEAaAuqPEALw_wcB
Hi Alicia! I'm trying to find the bonus print out for your sentiments. I click on the link but it just takes me to you basic channel page. Not sure what I am doing wrong! 😑
Diane, this bonus was for Channel Members. If you click on the link below it takes you to my Membership Tab which will be pretty much blank if you aren't a Member. Hope that helps.
Thanks Alicia. I'm assuming "membership" means your "Patreon" membership? Just clarifying. Will have to wait to join. I'm playing games with Social Security right now and likely won't be getting a monthly check for some time to come, so will have to find a job that I can do so I can have money to live on and money for crafty things. What a mess right now. So frustrated. Thanks for pointing out the membership thing. Will join sometime in the future when things change.
@@starrdustmemorieswithdiane934 I don't have Patreon, but it is similar - just ran by UA-cam. Good luck with the Social Security 'games' - that sounds frustrating and a bit scary.
SSI isn’t really scary unless they stop your payments all of a sudden like in my case. I just didn’t get their paperwork in time as I was staying at my mom’s caring for her and only coming home once/week to get my mail. They had a two week cut off. 🙄🙄🙄. I picked up my mail on a Wednesday, and because sometimes they can send several mailings a year for this/that, I didn’t open it up till Friday that week and the cut off was the following Tuesday. I needed expense reports to prove I had this/that payment, etc. I had no ink for my old printer at my mom’s at the time, Anyway, they stopped payment for this month till December, but got a letter yesterday stating I would get 1/2 payment on the 23rd and full payment on the 23rd next month. Now I just gave to get them to get it back on the 3rd again as I have ACH payments that come out on that date. It’s a mess now but glad and THANKFUL they started payments again. This all happened because I worked too much in 2021. They will just set up a small payment plan now that I can handle. 😉
IMO Anyone who says they haven’t had a day like that is either superhuman or lying lol! I have a bad habit of going off script with every sheetload and ending up with too many of one piece and not enough of another, but one way or another they end up becoming cards. That’s a big part of why I don’t make videos! Math/planning is not my superpower, but using up scraps is.
Y our cards are amazing! We all have those days . Thanks for sticking with it and sharing 😊
Thanks for taking the time to watch :)
