Wow I’m very impressed with how you found this. I mostly play TLC as that has a wealth of cut content as I never thought that there would be much in the way of cut content for Fable 2. I am glad to be mistaken. This quest would have been really cool and I found the villagers dialogue to be hilarious. Well done 👏🏻
Thanks! There's at least a couple other quest scripts that are not used and some out of bounds stuff that I plan on making videos on, alongside some changes to the main plot.
I feel like this would've been cool with a similar setup as the Sunset House in 3. Have the player go through the cave doing a few puzzles and fighting off some enemies and then at the end they fall asleep and fight the boss then get the sword as a reward. The moral dilemma they could setup is have the sword begging you to keep it because the witch would destroy it or return it to the witch for a lot of gold instead. Ultimately I feel like it wouldn't be worth it cause they'd have to record a lot of dialogue to make it interesting and players could either miss it entirely or choose to sell it to the witch before they heard most of the dialogue. This is a very far reach but maybe it was a concept they made when they were working on the dynamic music system they talked about. It would've been insane if the sword synced up to combat like they originally intended with the main music.
keep up the good work, and i know its not easy but if possible you should try and datamine more cut content, unused scripts, etc in fable 2. I'm sure plenty of us are super curious but a lot of us(me) aren't quite intelligent enough to do it XD
So it was not only cut from Fable 1 but Fable II. Very cool!
merci pour ton travail mon frère Fable 2 est mon jeux de prédilection
tu réussi a le ressusciter un peux =)
Wow, those voice lines hit me with nostalgia. Great work!

This is one of those situations when you never knew you wanted a video until you found it, you absolute legend
peak fable dialogue.
and great to see wizard like you digging up more content from older games.
🤯
Keep up the great work! I'm sure Fable 2 is loaded with cut content.

I wonder if there was meant to have any aspect which influences how good or bad the sword sings?
