A final cost assessment on all three would have helped as well. What was the difference between the best and the worst? Obviously you get better with price. Was the worst $60 and the best $170? That bit of info would make the case a little easier. Either way, I would take any of them if they were $20 lol
Great video! We've one bought a couple of cheap canvas prints before and never really thought about the quality and construction of the final product. Very interesting to see how much they vary. Next time I get a canvas I'll be doing some research into the companies and not just going on price.
@@photographytalk " It's a great poor quality canvas" hahaha lol Normally things that are considered bad . are called "poor" never have I ever heard someone say what you have said that made me laugh
I think that there is a lot of teaching about how to properly print and produce a canvas. 1) A canvas that is too tight will eventually show the stretcher bar, crack and the corners will begin to show through as the humidity and temp changes in the house. (Season). The canvas need to have a proper wrap tightness to accommodate all types of temperature changes 2) Wrap on the side is determined by the customer - You should have specified the wrap that you wanted and not left it to the company to choose. 3) A piece of paper on the back does nothing on the back, does someone go to your house and pick up the canvas off the wall and look at if there is a piece of paper on the back.. Does having a piece of paper on the back make it a better made canvas? 4) The winners canvas does not need more wood to hold the canvas together (Support bars and corner bars) for that size canvas. But guessing the way it is wrapped so tight they get complaints about warping after a year and decided the best way to stop it was to waste more wood instead of adjusting the wrapping tightness correctly. 5) Color profiling, you should always check with the company that you are printing with to see if they have a standard color profile or will your profile overwrite it to adjust for the color changes. Thank You...
That one where they'd mirrored the top does my head it! When you order the canvas do you assume that the edge will be folded over or is there a feature on the website that allows you to preview the finished canvas along with the edges?
If you watch the 2020 shoot out, you'll see Canvas on Demand came in dead last. Horrible print quality and the frame was a cheap pizza box. I was shocked with this one.
Hello, I'm wondering if the same file you've sent them to print is available somewhere to download? I've bought a wide format printer and currently exploring the printer itself, different medias and finishes to achieve the best quality I can. Thought it would be awesome to compare my prints to the ones you've reviewed. Thanks!
Should I make my photos lighter when printing? I tried printing my photos at walmart and they looked great on computer but when I printed them out they was over saturated.
I only sell Wall Art from my images. I am sorry Canvas HQ and the other 2 are way too expensive. Their rates are good only for end customers not for resellers like us. Also, your Canvas from Canvas HQ, is not acceptable, either it was your error of choosing incorrect wrap which seems unlikely because at the order stage markings should clearly show what part is going to warp. Like with my printer my standard instructions are to stretch the image only on the warp. Only for smaller sizes I provide images including the wrap. Having said the above, I liked the stretcher bar and staple spacing. Guy’s if you are selling Canvas back is something customers appreciate and it look neat. Just my 2 cents, take it or leave entirely your choice.
Hey Sean, I have seen absolutely zero fading. I will add that print in the above video looks identical as the day I received it. Which is impressive when you consider this print is hanging in a rest room exposed to sunlight and moisture from the shower.
Thanks for doing this video. I’m going to check Canvas HQ out. I’m an artist and I need to make prints from my original work. I’ll keep doing my research but this video helped check some boxes off.

Believe me, I have never printed a canvas, but I love them. I just couldn’t find a good reliable company. Thanks for the vid, I’ll check them out!
Thank you so much! This review will definitely help me for selling prints of my drawings/ illustrations!

Wondering if you have tried Costco for canvas printing and if yes what’s your thoughts? Or Easy Canvas Prints? Thanks great video
Very nice
What size is the canvas (bracers bars depend on size)? And is the canvas cotton based? Seen some melt off bars.

Hey bud, yes you can select the type of edge you want, however some companies will take short cuts and well, you can see what happens. LOL
Definitely will be printing my first canvas very soon... thanks for the video.
I ordered from Canvas champs and was very pleased with the quality.
We compared Canvas Champ in the 2020 shootout with 6 other companies. You should watch that video to see how they compare.
Heading over to CanvasHQ now 👍🏽
Any thoughts on Canvas On Demand, thoughts? Trying to determine who I should use for a canvas purchase Thanks

Yes, without accessing the profile/color space on the digital file, any consideration is well, worthless.
Hi, thanks for this amazing review. Can you please inform us which one works as print on demand? Thanks again
Hey bud... CanvasHQ
Great review and the closeups really helped

Aha
Where do you go for resellers?
Can I ask how the HQ print held up with respect to fading, please?
