@Richard Xie and I thank you :)
I work with industrial braiding machines. this has every feature the real ones have just with fewer spools.
beautiful engineering and building!
Not exactly true. There is no mechanism for keeping the tension on the single threads. You see them come loose passing the centre. Thats not gonna happen on real braiding machines.
@@sputzelein is there, might not work good enough though, but if you look at the little belt drive, thats supposed to create some friction.
Staring at this machine fills you with determination
I love all the tiny little usability touches, like the tensioning system.
Thanks Mahj !
Can I ask where is the tensioning part?
Samer Shennar the part shown at 1:20 where he moves the gear to reel in the string, so it had enough tension.
Incredible. I need like a 3 hour video without background music and just the sound of Lego shuttles moving to relax... 😉
This mechanism is just awesome!
Great work!
I am surprised how well it works
I agree!!
Thanks !

Holy industrial revolution, Batman!
Massimo O'Kissed Very good point! Time for a new Industrial Revolution!!! And I mean, REVOLUTION!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
wth. . . that braided string is soooo beautiful. . .
Man I did not expect that level of engineering when I clicked on this one!
I love this guy's productions. Lego is best when it does something useable in reality
Finally, a legitimate braid and not just twisted yarn
ca tient juste du génie c'est incroyable comme mécanisme. Le passage des bobines d'un rotor à l'autre est super souple. La vidéo est génial super moc.
And that's, children, why engineers are superior beings.
Incredible!
Thank you !
You are the new Da Vinci!
One of the most unique creations ever!
Thank you :)
This is one of your best creations, great work Nico and keep it up.
Awesome Build! Looks and works great.
awesomeness at its highest level
Awesome implementation of loosely passing the reels around!
maybe you can redesign the bobbins/spools to put the wire through something that generates a bit of tension, like some sort of tweezers. bonus points if it is adjustable.
and if you also include some sort of mechanism with a lever and a spring between the spool and the tweezers to pick up the slack, you could run this EVEN FASTER!
Damn nico. The stuff you build is a huge work of art in itself. Keep on doing what you like.
Awesome! Great job!
That thing is awesome!
Brilliant!
C'est sacrément abusé toute cette syncro ! Et cette vitesse... Tu ne t'arrêteras jamais toi ! lol ! Bien joué, bravo :)
my life was just made, must....Build.....MACHINE!!!!!
What a cool idea!
impressive as always :)
WOW! It's very Nice!!!
The machine is amazing, as well as the end product!
Amazing machine!
Thats soo cool dude it's insane
Great Build, I love how it technically braid made with Lego,s only, Fastasticool!
I'm always amazed at your machines😮
chriss p amazed *by
ThePetaaaaaa Either is entirely correct. Kindly make sure you understand grammar before correcting it in others.
amazing as always
Wow! It's a great building)
that is WICKED cool!
Amazing! I wouldn't even know how to start building something like this... ;P
great building
Nice work man
super machine!
Toujours aussi impressionnant ce genre de choses x) Bravo
wow just wow..... bravo!
Awesome. Great idea and nice technical usage of LEGO bricks :) It reminds me again, that possibly everything can be done with LEGOs and mostly the imagination limits us.
Thanks for sharing with your superb machine!
Incredible
mindblowing
Cool I made 10 of these and started a small braiding company
Now, let's see it knit socks! Awesome work though
Wow I love it 😍!
are you f**n kidding me? that is just some insane building! congrats
Thanks !
Nice idea👍💡
Amazing
awesome!
Cool!
Remarkable!
Wow! Genius!
awsome!!!
But come to think of it you should make a hair braiding machine! That would be cool. (It would be difficult to find somewhere to put your head though)
Salut nico super construction ! Bravo !
What can I say? It's extremely beautiful! Nice work! 👏
Amazing!!!
Legos are taking over the world
*Lego is
hugh stafford langan *LEGO® is
Increible!
Many of the first machines ever built were textile based. Is this the beginning of the Lego industrial revolution?
if it is, it is pretty late !
Awesome
beau travail encore une fois ^^bonne continuation
epic work guy :)
Nice work bro
Nice project ;-)
Nice!
Mind-blowing :O
LIKE IT!)))
ooh my grandma will be so happy when she sees this
Your mechanical master your amazing!!!!!!
Nicely done, have you thought of using 20 - 30 cm long lead cord that is always attached to the spool and can be tied / hooked to the new braided cord to help minimize the the wasted cord?
Would give this to my grandma.
so... when is the programmable loom with program cards coming?
Good idea ! I will check it ;)
this model is screaming for NXT :-)
Better, EV3!
Wow, amazing as always!!
Thank you LXF !
Great machine! Just bought the instructions and built it from spare parts. A little bit tricky with the chains, but very interesting :-)
Can you do knitting machine? Is it possible to knit socks f.e.
génial!
great execution on this machine. I am puzzled though at the purpose of the device at 2:08. Maybe the yellow post is for manually turning the system as you load the spools, but what does the offset cam under the floor do?
bravo!!!
cool
uuuke!...noice😆👌
2:30 looks tangled, 2:40 looks perfect
omg u are amazing :O
Bravo
Nico71's Lego Technic Creations can you translate that
you should buy Paracord and use the string that's inside that's what makes it strong
Wonderful, is possible, for example make a version that braid around a USB cable?
cool o_o
can you configure it to do different patterns
This is amazing! I am looking for something as simple as winding hand embroidery threads into sorting cards. Can you recommend some ideas for me? Many thanks.
crazy
Hey nico! Do you have blueprints for this project? If so, where can I find them?
Can you get one to do a round 7 strand whip plait out of leather?
I'm surprised you didn't go for slotted wheels and rubber belts underneath. Gear chains are cool, but aren't they more prone to slipping when they're run horizontally?
Draccyness in fact the gearing chain is the only way to have the pallet synchronized un correct way because of slipping of rubber band.
Do you still have that hot bulb tractor
