Another great video, no fuss, no faff, just honest to goodness cooking with down to earth budget recipes. I really look forward to them. So relatable in these tough times. Thank you. Marie x
I loved pink custard for school dinners, but my absolute fave was green (mint) custard with that fiercely hard block of what I think was shortbread! There used to be pieces of that shortbread thing flying all over the place when eventually we got to cut it with our spoons 😂
This was one of my favourite school dinner puddings. Others were boiled condensed milk poured over shortbread base with custard; golden custard made with watered down evaporated milk instead of milk sweetened with golden syrup instead of sugar; sticky cream made of dried milk powder whipped into condensed milk, it was so thick it would stand up in peaks, really good.
one of my school favs! thanks kieth, also helping me alot to cook! im not the best. going to do this 100%. so extra thanks to u, love u keep things simple for me at least :) love and peace from cornwall as always mate
This is right up my alley! I hope you saved me some. I’d really like to try this, I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Another wonderful recipe. Thank you for all your videos. Much love to you and Nat ♥️
Looks very nice. A couple of things I want to ask. Have you seen the book called Eating For Victory. It's interesting what they ate during the war, and has many recipes. Also, in terms of kitchen gadgets there is the Tefal toast and more you could try. It's a toaster but with a section you can cook eggs or beans as well.
Did you lick the beaters? 😀 For the life of me, I have never seen Pink Custard before today! 🤔 Honestly Keith, it couldn't be any more simpler than that for a delicious dessert 🤤👍 Now that you have the desicated coconut, make some good ol "Aussie 🇭🇲 Lamingtons"... (Lamo's) Cheers 🤤
Love how you keep everything honest without rehearsing your Creations. Belting apload Kieth 👍❤️
Cheers mate
