You have saved me so much time. Thanks the pump is now $13 on amazon next day delivery. I'm using home assistant for my timer. Thanks again. So happy I found this video!

Did you order your tubing from Amazon? I have tried both PVC clear tubing and Tygon. Neither works in my pump. My $13.86 INTTLAB pump works great with the silicone tubing it came with. I have disassembled and reassembled it about 10 times now, and I can always get it to work with the original tubing. But, when I put in the clear PVC or Tygon that I have bought, nothing works.

After reading reviews on commercially available sodium hypochlorite delivery systems, I was not interested in buying one. During my investigation, I ran across your system. Ingenious! Thanks for sharing.
I followed the instructions. Everything tested fine until I tried to inject with the pool pump running. Instead of introducing the sodium hypochlorite, the pool water back flowed through the peristaltic pump and into the hypochlorite reservoir.
The pressure downstream of my pool pump at the filter ranges from about 10 to 20 psi. The peristaltic pump manufacturer states horizontal head: 25 meters (35 psi), pump suction: 2-3 meters. Before buying the pump I asked the manufacturer whether fluids could flow back through the pump and the answer was “no.”
Any suggestions on how I should proceed to get a system to work? Thanks in advance for your consideration and help.

    Hi Marv,
After 4 years you have lots of experience with peristaltic and chlorine.
Did you ditch the Intllab pump and if so what did you switch to?
Is tygon still working for you?
I am considering a Milton Roy Lmi chem feed pump. $$$ new but available on ebay at about $100.
    Thanks for all your tips!

When I saw the electric timer in your video I wondered where you are. Then you showed the screen shots of the timer app, saw Telstra, and all became clear! Also, what is the concentration of chlorine in your blue bottles? In the U.S. our chlorine bottles are generally 10% or 12.5%.

Don’t you need a check valve in the chlorine tubing that goes in to the pool return pipe? So the chlorine doesn’t get pushed backwards under pressure from the pool pump.

Have you been using this to chlorinate your pool since you created the video? Did you try different peristaltic pumps?

Yes still going so the idea works. However i will upgrade the pump when it fails for a more robust commercial unit.

I'm using your pump ideas and I have my system running on a 360 gal spa. I can't seem to get the Tygon to work with the pump. However, I'm using the Tygon on the input and output lines attached to the small segment of line that came with the pump with 12.5% chlorine. I'm wondering if you have a special provider of the Tygon. The system has been running for a week now and I do have a backup pump just in case. Thanks again for all your help. I could not have done it so quickly without your help. Here is a video of my project ua-cam.com/video/VUboA4Xvzic/v-deo.html
