- Last week we got our new 2022 John Deere 4044m delivered. Now that the deal is final I can share the exact price we paid for everything and what we received for our trade on our 2013 John Deere 2025r with 244 hrs on it.
I am happy with the outcome and the overall experience was nice. We got super lucky to be able to get a tractor this quick considering how backed up everyone is.

I got my new 4044M in September of 2020 and the Rimguard was exactly $700. I was originally looking at 3 series tractors but when it came time to pull the trigger, I paid a bit more and got this one and I am so glad that I did. You can do small jobs with a big tractor, but you can't do big jobs with a small tractor. It's been everything I've needed on my 11 acre property. You made a good choice.

I love my 4044m! It’s a little more tractor than I need, but you know what they say… Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Congrats on the new tractor!

Great video! I love my 4044m. This is the first year that we’ve fed 1200lb bales to our cattle and it handles them wonderfully. I just put a sunshade on too.
What brand of sun shade did you go with? I was just starting to look at those

I have one you got a good deal! Love what you said at the end I find it’s a little too big for allot of what I do, but it’s nice if you have 2 to have a tank to turn to on bigger jobs!

I bought a Kioti DK5310 SE HST with cab and loader for $38,500. I chose the Kioti for it’s reputation as a well built tractor. I am very pleased so far! Any tractor to help doing your projects is a great thing!

A cab would be sweet but I thought it was too much money….also they had this one ready to walk out the door vs waiting 7 mths

You know what I kind of see your point that you got like a 25 horse and decided to get a larger one because I bought a 30 horse and about a year later I thought man I could really use a 40 or 50 horse I got most of that stuff done with my 30 horse but it would have went so much easier with a 50 horse tractor but now we got our property where it's mostly just maintenance from here so I think we should be okay with our 30 horse but I originally would have actually bought at least a 40 horse if I would have thought more about it

Nice looking tractor I just ordered one just like it but with R1 tires. I also have a 2019 3032E that I am keeping to round out my choices. I really was hoping some one put out a video for the 4044M and here it is! Thank You! Dealer said mine should be ready by July I am really looking forward to it.

Yep, totally get it! I have no Mrs. (Yes) Lol most people play hard to get I, play hard to want........................... So, the permission phase was easy, it will work out good to fill the gap between the 3032E and the 410 backhoe. Keep the firewood a rolling!
@@Winger2325 you will like the R1 tires, you’ll never run out of traction again without destroying your yard. I would not go back to R4s after having the 4044m with R1s.
Great deal, I'm thinking about trading my 1025R in on a 4044M and this was very helpful.

I traded my 1025R with the 120R loader, 54" auto-connect deck, 47" snowblower, and 4' brush hog for a 4044M with a 400E loader, 3rd (front/rear), 4th, and 5th SCV's, eThrottle, MotionMatch. Cruise Control, PowerGard Comprehensive, 1177lbs of Rim Guard, a Frontier 6' brush hog, plus an air seat. I should take delivery in 2 weeks. Thanks for the video, it really helped me decide to move forward.

I paid 21000 for my 1025r with backhoe two years. Same price bigger tractor. Seams good price to me.

What is the horse power? Did you look at any of the Meacham tractors that have been restored from top to bottom? I see some great deals on those, but that is just me congradulations on your new tractor and remember bigger is better.
44hp and I believe 33hp on the rear pto. I didn’t look seriously at the auction when I was looking to upgrade but I do enjoy watching them for fun.

You're 4044 m looks great, you got a great deal. On the wheel spacers, it looks like you have the rears set in the narrow configuration - any reason you would have got in the wheel spacers instead of configuring it to the wide spacing?
Hi thanks for the comment. I actually have no reason the spacers are setup like that, the dealer did it. I didn’t know there was another configuration until you told me.
@@WoodwardAcres Actually I meant the wheels might be set narrow (valve stems inwards), I incorrectly inferred spacers in the wording.
Okay that part makes sense.
I would have gotten the 4052R or M at a minimum for all of the reasons you didn't like about the 2025R. With the hills you need more power. I believe the 4044 isn't turbocharged, that's the biggest thing. I owned a 4066R for a year and NEVER had a power problem with it. The width and stability should be a big improvement.

Looked at a 4044m today. Dealer told me $37k was the best they could do. Pretty much same options as yours.

@@WoodwardAcres pin will come out,i assume bouncing or rough terrain.The draw bar didnt move any and hooked up an air blast sprayer.Destroyed the controls.
Don’t mean to dog on Deere, but I can’t believe they still make tractors with non-removable loaders and non-SSQA. They’re the only ones that do this, so weird.

Great job. I also have a 4044M that I use a lot in warm months for yard work of various things. You will find reasons to use it and just remember,
the loader saves a lot of actual lifting and a sore back.
