I wanna see the art of Miiswordfighter next! This was funny, entertaining, and most of all very helpful, I really wanna get good. Thank you for makin these vids! Keep up the great work!
I was incredibly disappointed when there weren’t that many guides for the Mii’s since I just made a Brawler for the first time. Hella glad Izaw decided to change that
Btw: Dash attack was not mentioned that much. It’s one of the best dashes with good ground distance, great at catching opponents trying to land on the ground, and is one of the few moves in the game that is a shield cross up. Great against recovering opponents that won’t expect it at high %. It won’t kill until late % but it will keep them in disadvantage state.
So thrilled to see an Izaw video on a character I actually play! I really hope this helps signal boost Brawler's potential and overall power, the character is hideously underrated. I'd really love to see Swordfighter get the same level of love as well, that character is even more egregiously slept on than Brawler.
This actually taught me a lot about Brawler's neutral and ledgetrapping. I'll definitely be putting the stuff in this video into practice! (Just one minor nitpick: the landing hit of SAK is laggier than it looks, and is actually -23 on shield)
Some minor corrections: 2:50 “it has no combo potential” You can combo grounded footstool -> onslaught, and jab lock -> onslaught, but otherwise yeah there’s no combos. 3:00 “you’ll see a pink flash when the move is at it’s strongest” This is technically incorrect, the flash will always occur about 8 secs after a successful hit. The move can still grow stronger after the initial flash, and there’s no flash until it lands for the first time. Before a successful hit, the move follows both traditional rage and it’s own “Aura” mechanic. Before the flash but after a successful hit, the move will ignore it’s “Aura” and the Aura will be reset. After the flash, the move will then resume following traditional rage and it’s “Aura” mechanic. There’s also no mention of the fact that the move is weaker in the air than on the ground.
@@StellarTempest No, it’s already a stupid kill option no matter what. However, it has a unique “Aura” mechanic that makes it scale to rage more than usual. The flash only indicates *the end of a brief 8 second period where the aura mechanic is reset*. It gets reset after a successful hit but otherwise it still has “aura” until you land it. After the flash (8 seconds), the aura mechanic goes back to usual. However, you won’t see the flash until you land it. That’s why saying the flash only occurs as it’s strongest is technically incorrect. If you Google search “Onslaught SSB wiki” the page there explains it with exact multipliers. I also edited my original comment to make it a little more clear. Hope that makes sense!
There is no way to normally get a footstole to onslaught, only way I know is nair to footstole onslaught which is basically useless cause you have better options out of nair
@@double_ssb that’s not true, you can parry -> footstool -> onslaught, good wolfs and Ikes do it with up b all the time. Characters like Shulk can do this too.
One of the most impressive parts of this video is how, when going over each special, they go over them in order and don't really spoil how the other specials work with them, like saying "Shotput can go really well into this side b", it's very neat.
I made a Mii Brawler inspired by Tien from Dragon Ball. I like pulling him out when I’m playing friendlies, but maybe this video will help me bring my Tien gameplay up to the next level.
1211 is what I use. This move set is a bit hard to kill with but you get good recovery, a shield break/kill option out of shield with down B and with up B you get a cloud like up B out of shield. Burning drop kick is also underrated. It has vertical recovery and you can act out of it. I’m also pretty sure it’s safe on shield because you can jump or air dodge immediately out of it. Maybe not totally but you have options.
Brawler has... -a decent recovery with lots of mixups that vary between sets -amazing frame data -amazing combo game -kill confirms out of stray hits and grabs -NAir -amazing platform abuse -amazing OOS options -great ground and air speed... and people are still sleeping on him, smh.

Mii Brawler is my favorite character and he deserves better treatment and upgrades in all his movesets and Special's B to become a more powerful warrior. They should Buff Mii Brawler Movesets since it deserves many improvements in your gameplay: the Suplex, Onslaught (more long distances running the entire stage, knockback in low percentages 40-50%), Shot Put (more range and distance), Suplex (more range and distance that covers the entire game screen and with the ability to knock out 30-40%) Flashing Mach Punch (knockback in low percentages 30%), Burning Drop Kick (more long distance covering an enormous distance with the ability to charge the attack, very similar to Pichu's Side Special B and knockback in low percentages 20%), Thrust Uppercurt (more long distance and knockback in low percentages 40%), Counter Throw (activate on Projectiles and your feets are invulnerable With the ability to parris when blocking projectiles), Exploding Sidekick (that has Super armor from the beginning of the animation and does a damage of 44% and when executing it from the back, it does 60%, its knockback will be 0%) Head on Assault , Soaring Axe Kick (At the beginning of their animations, 3 descending hits will be delivered) so that they have more range in their specials so they can recover easier (let the distance be from the shore from the stage until the end of the platform and you can make another short jump, perform the special again and so on) and the buff is to knock out all his attacks in very low percentages. Can be a Meteor Spike similar Ganondorf and Terry Down Air. It must also have a speed higher than Sonic, a couple of adjustments to its Jabs, tilts, aerial and Smash Attacks. Not Ryu nvm
@@frosticle6409 Forgot Mario is technically a shoto lol, but I want some Ryu and Ken action
@@realchezboi Mario doesn't have a burst movement option. He has the fireball and the uppercut but he doesn't have a tatsu
He hasn’t actually made an “art of” video for Terry and Kazuya, those were “how to play” videos. They’re pretty close to the same, but the how to play videos are made much quicker right after dlc comes out, and might not be as complete as an art of. Seeing a ryu or Ken art of would be pretty sweet.
Thank you, mii community! Nice video, Izaw. For the miis!
I didn't think this would ever happen
I love playing the mii characters especially mii brawler
Its nice to see Brawler get love now.
Really cool. I started picking up mii brawler recently and this is just amazing. Thank you 👍
Right when I start playing Brawler, thanks Izaw!
YAY I LOVE MII BRAWLER AND I SUCK WITH HIM AND NOW THERE IS A GUIDE
i didn't even realize the kickflip (not calling it 'feint jump' it just sounds stupid) had two types of attack and figured it out when i accidentally went offstage and then spiked a ganondorf cpu

Actually just picked up brawler today (cycling between Nigel Thornberry and Vegeta), really enjoying it. And also appreciate the vid! Really needed good basic info.
