It seems like they named it a matte gloss to try to avoid calling it a liquid lipstick. We all associate the term liquid lipstick with bulletproof, dry, painted on, not going anywhere lipstick now. But I think in the true sense of the term "liquid lipstick" these really seem like just that. A regular old lipstick, but in a more liquid form. Anyway, thank you for the great review as always!! I'd love for you to consider making a "Best Of 2015" video about the best lip products you tried this year. Then kind of expand it to foundation, blush, powder, nail polish... whatever. I always mean to make a note of all the lipsticks that are Cassie approved when I'm in the market for them but forget to and then am overwhelmed by trying to rewatch them all. This may seem strange but I'm a huge "texture eater", the crunchier the better when it comes to snacks and things that I eat and somehow this "preference" also has an impact on what I put on my lips. *No, I do not prefer crunchy lip products* However I am very particular about the texture of my lip products. Mostly I can only stand a lip balm so I'm hoping these will make my lips happy if I decide to give them a try. I would also like to say that your creativity speaks to my soul. All through the video I was thinking things like: cute boots, love the music, oh the happy face on the windshield was such a quirky and cool thing to put in. The scent/flavor description sounds better than every loreal lipstick I've tried which had some weird floral baby powder scent/flavor - blech! Synthetic sour patch sounds like a vast improvement.
I got a few of these and my 'Rouge Envy' had a crazy wonky applicator too! I also agree with you on the strange warm feeling! I really love the formula and colors!

I'm in a profession where I have to wear a mask on my face all day, so I have to wear products that last, not run or smudge. This product has 2 options on it. You can wear matte or with clear balm on other end: )

I watched this video after waking up in the middle of the night and then I fell back asleep and dreamt we went makeup shopping together. LOL. Gosh, I sound like a creep, so...moving on. +Cait D have you tried the Maybelline Creamy Matte lipsticks before? THEY ARE AMAZING!! It feels like a glossy lipstick when you put it on but its a matte lipstick. It is the most hydrating/creamiest matte lipstick ever. It lasts pretty well too!
Rouge Envy was my favorite color on you. I think you fab in reds and berry colors. I'm currently putting together a list of must have items for my cousin cause she's buying all new makeup and I'll definitely be suggesting these because of this video.
I have this in Statement Nude (lovely) and Rouge Envy... I bought Rouge Envy because of the display picture which thankfully had the name of the gloss the model was wearing...because I would have never thought it was Rouge Envy...and it is FREAKING GORGEOUS. I love it so much...simply stunning. I like these glosses a lot. Easy to remove when I am eating and easy to reapply.

I pair mine with any old lip liner and they stay much better through eating and drinking. Mine lasted almost all New Year's Eve. It hadn't completely faded by 4 am.

I bought 1 in Nude Allure.. and to be honest.. I love love love it!!!!!! It glides on so smoothly on my,lips and gives me the matte feeling i have been looking for! A great product everyone must try.. I am gonna buy some more shades. Yayyy!!

The scent/flavor description sounds better than every loreal lipstick I've tried which had some weird floral baby powder scent/flavor - blech! Synthetic sour patch sounds like a vast improvement.
I got a few of these and my 'Rouge Envy' had a crazy wonky applicator too! I also agree with you on the strange warm feeling! I really love the formula and colors!

This ones looks matte to me, matte doesn't mean they going to last, I think they named matte gloss because they looks matte but feels like a gloss.

Great demo! Gonna have to give this product line a try! I've been wearing the Maybelline Superstay 24hr for years. I'm in a profession where I have to wear a mask on my face all day, so I have to wear products that last, not run or smudge. This product has 2 options on it. You can wear matte or with clear balm on other end: )

I watched this video after waking up in the middle of the night and then I fell back asleep and dreamt we went makeup shopping together. LOL. Gosh, I sound like a creep, so...moving on. I loved the review. These glosses look like something I'd enjoy, so they go on my list of things to try when "no buy winter" (which means not buying any new makeup until the end of March) is over. Four days in and I'm already questioning my sanity but I shall live vicariously through your makeup adventures until then.

+Cait D have you tried the Maybelline Creamy Matte lipsticks before? THEY ARE AMAZING!! It feels like a glossy lipstick when you put it on but its a matte lipstick. It is the most hydrating/creamiest matte lipstick ever. It lasts pretty well too!
oohh i haven't, ill have to try them. i'm always on an endless hunt to find the perfect matte lipstick.
Rouge Envy was my favorite color on you. I think you fab in reds and berry colors. I'm currently putting together a list of must have items for my cousin cause she's buying all new makeup and I'll definitely be suggesting these because of this video.

I have this in Statement Nude (lovely) and Rouge Envy... I bought Rouge Envy because of the display picture which thankfully had the name of the gloss the model was wearing...because I would have never thought it was Rouge Envy...and it is FREAKING GORGEOUS. I love it so much...simply stunning. I like these glosses a lot. Easy to remove when I am eating and easy to reapply.
Though I do have to say, I think your camera slightly washes out the colour...
The regular L'Oréal Infallible ( non matte )ones are long staying. I love them!
