    I have been waiting to see how many YEARS it would take for my husband to fix our loose TP holder and i'm tired of waiting (it's been at least 5 years haha). This was the easiest video to understand. I'm heading to Home Depot today to get new anchors and I'm going to do this myself. THANK YOU !!!!!

      @@KS-eu2vf 😂😂😂😂 u don't get another man because of this but u gave me a good laugh tho. I need to get mine fixed but the wall where the screws go is weak like it's going to make a big hole in the wall. I'm just go call this handy man.

    Thank you so much for this video! I live in a rented apartment and have been waiting 6 months on maintenance to fix the toilet paper holders and towel rack. With this easy step by step video I was able to walk my 9 and 10yr old boys through the process of fixing both. They had fun using the drill and learning how the bolt anchors work. Thanks again, keep doing what you do. God Bless.

    Awesome! Thank you. We live in a new build house. They do subpar work. There's no quality work anymore. Even for something simple as installing the arms of this toilet paper holder. I've dismantled ours a few times on accident. Fiance was getting tired of having to fix it. Told him to teach me, but he keeps forgetting. New UA-cam wouldn't let me down! So simple. I want to spray paint all our chrome toilet paper holders, including the towel holders. Now that I know how to do this, I can take this little project on myself. Thank you for taking the time! I'll leave the bigger projects to my hand man of a fiance. 😊

      Glad to help. It will be much sturdier with the new anchors. If you decide to paint the chrome it should be sanded first. Good luck!

    Thank you for making this! I’ve been trying to figure out how to tighten one of the toilet paper role handles and had no idea there was a screw underneath. All I needed to do was watch 3 minutes of this video, and tighten the screw. Solved!

    Thank you!! I cannot say enough good things about these anchors. I've tried spring molly bolts, drywall anchors like you had at the beginning of the video and nothing worked. These are the best !!

    I just needed to watch to the point that there was a small screw underneath attaching the roll handle to the plate. But I watched all the way through and I kinda know my stuff. I used to hold flashlights and tell my father which wire was red and which was blue because he was color blind. I learned a lot from him- everything from car maintenance to soldering pipes. You explain things very well. I am giving you a like and subscribing. You are a natural teacher. Some people have that quality/skill and many don't. It's a hard skill to learn. Thank you for posting this video.
    p.s. that is the first time I have ever seen a pin like the red one you used. (tucking that away for future info)

    Nice video. Very simple and delivered with a sense of humor. Great job! I did pretty much the same thing as you describe but in my case toggle bolts worked nicely because I was drilling into the side of a vanity to hang my toilet paper holder there. It was necessary to shorten the rather long screws with my bolt cutter, but that took only a few seconds.

    Great video! I just followed along with you the best I could. As a female, I just didn’t have enough strength to push those toggles deep enough to be flushed into the wall so I used a rubber hammer to knock them in. Also, that red pin was also too hard for me to push inside the toggle. I tried to use the rubber hammer to knock it in but the darn red thing broke off. So I improvised by using the tiny flat head screw driver to push in the toggle since my stupid red pin broke. The tiny flat head screw driver worked like a charm. It was the same tiny screw driver I used to remove the tiny screws from underneath both sides of the holder. Overall this was an awesome video! Thank so much for posting it. Maybe my comment can help women and some one who doesn’t have a lot of strength.

    How do you remove these kind of anchors? Also, the hex screw on one of the arms is tight but the arm keeps popping off the brackets. Does the hex screw (when it screws into the bottom hole) have to go behind the bracket to tighten the assembly or in front of it? Something is amiss. Thanks.

    Now that is a crappy job lol :-D
    The plastic rawlplugs were never designed for drywall, no supprise that they failed, but into brick/cement yes :-)
    I like the locking wing type, clever :-D
    The locked wing plugs remind me of the metal ones for plasterboard.
    Is your drywall similar to the plasterboard we use for ceilings, (cardboard/plaster/cardboard) sandwich?, its crap to hang light fittings from lol.

    • @jenniesgarage
      @jenniesgarage  9 років тому

      +zx8401ztv The standard drywall here is gypsum powder sandwiched between 2 sheets of paper. I hate working an a ceiling because the dust inevitably gets in my eyes. It comes in plywood size sheets that are attached to the house, and then the seams are covered with paper tape and joint compound.
