Good Morning Jen🤗The sweater is awesome. Hope we get to see him modeling it!! You were scared to make cardigans and now you’re cranking them out like crazy!! I love you for giving us the nerve to try things🥰 I can’t read patterns, so I do everything by the seat of my pants😂
Hi Jen! RJs sweater is fantastic and I'm sure he's going to love it. I know how much loss affects us especially around the holidays. I've lost so many loved ones and the most heart shattering and one I'll never get over is losing my son 7 months ago. I lost my only sister 6 months before that. I struggle every day so I get it. Sending you love and hugs! ❤
I was scared of wearable items too. I started with a hexagon cardigan. They're so easy to adjust and customize. I've now made 7 in the last month! I'm hooked
Pun intended? 😆 I hear you...I love cardigans. Made three since fall this year, but two of them still need finishing work, and I don't think any of them is perfect, but whatever! More will follow, and one of these days I'll call a cardigan "really pretty good." Perfect is probably a long way off. 😀
Oh baby girl I just love you an all your family an fur baby’s ❤I have a child just like Luke he is now 46 he came a while after the first2 he is so caring an love able an has come down a lot an still will tell anyone that he loves his mom! I’m now 74 an so blessed ❤❤❤
RJ's sweater looks great! I know what you mean about having the person there for sizing adjustments. I made my grandson a cardigan in August so he would have it for university this year and I measured numerous times to be sure. It was great having him around to try it on as I went before sewing it together. I also altered the sleeves and the length. It turned out great and he loves it. He told me he wears it all the time. He goes to university in Nova Scotia. He's home right now for Christmas break. He didn't have a hat so, I whipped one up and gave it to him Friday. He loves it. He said it's perfect.🥰 I had yarn leftover from his sweater. It does make me so happy to hear how much he loves his sweater.🥰 Wishing you a beautiful blessed day/night 🙏🏻💖
Hi Jennifer👋 You definitely should be proud of this absolutely gorgeous Cardigan!! I’m so proud of you!!💖 This is your first men’s cardi and it’s perfect in every way!!👏Trust the process - after all, it’s your process!😉 Yes, if you had RJ’s measurements or could have had him trying it on for fit would have made it worry free but you did the next best thing - the process! I love the yarn and color you chose plus the way you were able to control the coloring!! Luke’s Stitch was perfect to use and looks so good!! I’ve been too chicken to try and make a cardigan. When you said to make the first one for yourself, follow the process, measure and try it on at every step - made me realize I can do this! So, in early 2025, I will make my first cardi! Thank you!😘 I can hardly wait to see a picture of RJ wearing his cardigan!! Hope you find a car for Juju soon! We are helping our older daughter find one too. I dislike the process of finding and buying a vehicle nowadays. It used to be fun back in the day whether you were buying from a dealership or privately. Now, it’s very difficult to trust what they say and it’s more difficult to find the true history of a secondhand vehicle. Plus the prices, in Canada, have gone sky high whether it’s new or used! My recovery from major back surgery in mid-Nov. is slowly coming along. I just have to be very patient and careful not to overdo it. The horrible pain I was in has already lessened by at least 50%!! I’m starting to get feeling and blood flow back in my toes, feet and legs and starting to be able to walk again!!🥹Gradually, I will build strength and muscle back into my legs, hips, my core, shoulders and arms!! Recovery from this type of surgery is 2 years if I do everything right. I’m ready and focused for the long haul.🤙🥰 I am sending wishes of a Healthy, Peaceful and Happy 2025 New Year to you and your wonderful family including of course your sweet fur babies!!🙏🕊️🎶😍💪🥰🎉🤗😘❤️🇨🇦
Great job on the sweater, he's going to be so surprised and excited for it. It's very sharp looking! Love seeing you. Sincerely Janey ❤️ Oh happy New Year!!!!
I think he will love it! I really like how that pattern works with the puzzle yarn. I look forward to seeing it on him lol Much love and prayers to you all! Take care Jen, see you next time!
Love rj's cardigan as always you did a awesome job. Love listening to you remind of my daughter who was born the same year you were in June. She died 13 years ago.
Love RJ’s sweater! I believe that my husband would wear this sweater! But, my sweater is first. I just purchased my yarn for your new sweater (Sandy cardigan). Thank you so much! ❤🧶
The men's sweater for RJ is perfect and I have no doubt he will love it. I ventured out this year and made 3 men's sweaters, one for my hubby, one for my brother and one for my grandson and to my surprise all 3 fit perfect and my hubby and especially my grandson were over the moon with their sweaters which warmed my heart so much. yes when we take the time to crochet an item for that special person in our lives, we crochet a lot of love into them in hopes the recipient will be able to feel the love we have put into making it for them.♥I love the look of the sweater. I totally get how you felt in making it especially when you don't have the measurements because I didn't have anyones measurements but I lucked out and they all 3 fit great. Please let us know how it goes.
Love the cardigan for RJ! He will love it. I’m not a cardigan person but love all the Christmas cardis you made. Beautiful work. I love the colors of fluff you’re spinning. Gorgeous 😍 You never cease to amaze me how much you get done. Happy New Year to you and family 🎉
I really enjoy listening to you and your life stories. RJ's sweater is so nice and, based on your description of him, it's perfect. I saw your earlier post and know he loved it, which makes all of your fretting worth it! I hope the search for Juju's replacement vehicle is a speedy one. HAPPIEST OF NEW YEARS TO THE ENTIRE RIVERA FAMILY 🎉
Good morning Jen 🌈 wow! You did an amazing job on RJs cardigan.. it’s beautiful. By all means we want to see it on him if possible. Love the colors. Take care 💜
RJ’s sweater looks great. I’m sure he will love it because it comes from your heart. The colors are perfect for a man. I look forward to seeing a picture of him wearing it. 🧶💜🙏🏻
Jen, RJ’s sweater is awesome! It is so nice, and I bet he will love it! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and have a Happy New Year to you and your family!❤❤
That’s a beautiful cardigan!!! I think he’s definitely going to cry and I have no doubt he’s going to appreciate this gift, it’s going to mean the world to him. I’m surprised he doesn’t wear eyeliner since he’s emo. My stepson was emo when he was 16/17 and he wore eyeliner. But that was in 2007, so I guess they’re different now. I can’t wait to see your next video so we can see a picture of RJ wearing his new sweater. Happy New Year!!! Hugs
WOW! JEN you wear me out just listening to all you accomplish it sounds like a three rink circus nonstip.I really admit all your patience I finished all my projects now trying to decide on what to do next I bought enough Puzzle yarn for a queen sized blanket.is 6 enough for a queen size and what stitch do u recommend? Happy New Year and get some rest. 34:00
It turned out so good Jennifer. I got my fashion bags from Premier, they were both Puzzle yarn, one was the color I’ve been wanting for myself-but I don’t buy for myself, but there it was. My granddaughter is going to make me something with it 😊 I got the order the same day you said they were in stock again……so….. I bought more 😂 thanks for the heads up
Hey Jen The sweater is perfect! I hope you all can find Juju a car pretty soon. Have a good day dear, I still feel like crud so any prayers appreciated. Love Hugs and Prayers.

And do not, I repeat DO NOT panic if when your fibre is dry, it looks compacted/felted. The weight of the water makes it look that way. Take a big pan and a colander that fits the pan. Find a lid that roughly fits over top. Add a few cups of water to the pan, making sure it’s well below the bottom of the colander. Bring the water to a cheerful boil. Dump some fibre in the colander on top of the pan and stick the lid on top. Wait a few minutes. Remove the lid, and with tongs (careful! Hot!) turn the fibre over and steam the other side. It’s crazy how the fibre puffs up. Repeat until you’ve steamed all your fibre. No lid? Use a cotton towel instead, or a piece of tin foil. No pan and colander that fit together? Use the steam jet function of your iron: lay out a layer of fibre on top of a towel, blanket… whatever suits you. Keep shooting steam at your fibre without your iron touching it. Hi Jen. I am so glad you were able to finish the cardigan. Did RJ like it? Did it fit? I love the yarn that you were able to spin. Those colors are just perfect. Thank you for sharing with us and all you do for us!!
Thank you for sharing. Nice . Your so good. What's left hat and scarf. Sure hope it fits. You did so good. Your so thoughtful. I'm so talented. Glad your getting good help with the one. Hope your husband gets his truck fixed.
I love your cardigan for RJ! Question what kind of join do you use with your creations for running out of a color mid row? What's stays the best please? 🤔
Just keep on doing what you're doing with Lucas. He will come into himself just like my son did. You won't find a. Kinder person than my son nor a more productive one. He has golden hands and can make or fix anything. I had every worry you have but I am really proud of him now.
I have a general question for everyone. When starting the chain do you use one crochet hook size larger than the size needed for the project? For instance - if the project calls for an H (5 mm) hook do you make the chain with an I (5.5 mm) size hook?
Oh, that cardigan is so beautiful. It looks so warm and cozy to wear. I' Boyfriend is gonna love it. I'm sure it will fit him. Cardigans are not supposed to be tight.

The sweater is fantastic 🎉🎉🎉 Did it fit???? Thank you for keeping me company today ❤❤❤❤❤❤
It turned out so good Jennifer. I got my fashion bags from Premier, they were both Puzzle yarn, one was the color I’ve been wanting for myself-but I don’t buy for myself, but there it was. I absolutely love the boyfriend’s sweater!!!
My first sweater was a man's V neck button down for my husban. I followed BOD video and sent it to him. It was a challenge but came out beautiful
He’s gonna love it! It’s beautiful! For Lucas, maybe shades of gray with a red trim since he loves red so much?
What a awesome sweater
Jen, RJ'S sweater is beautiful.
Wow, RJ's sweater is SO handsome! I'm sure he's going to adore it!
Hey Jen The sweater is perfect! I hope you all can find Juju a car pretty soon. Have a good day dear, I still feel like crud so any prayers appreciated. Love Hugs and Prayers.
He will love it I’m sure ❤
love the sweater
Hi Jennifer good morning
RJ's cardigan looks really nice❤❤❤❤ awesome job Jen👍
Back to washing fibre: the two elements that cause felting are temperature changes and agitation (rubbing etc). To make sure you have neither if you are nervous, are to set aside multiple buckets of water at roughly the same temperature. Pour half a bucket of water in your sink. Add a splash of soap. Dunk in your fibre. Punch down if needed. LET IT SIT (20 minutes or so). Fish out the fibre, squeeze out as much water as you can. If needed, repeat. Then repeat without the soap until you’ve gotten out all the soap.
If you have only two buckets: use the water from one bucket. Fill that bucket again once you’ve dunked the fibre in rinse water coming from part of bucket 2. Re-fill bucket 1 matching the temperature still in bucket 2. Keep doing this until you’re confident you’ve got all the soap out.
This is for your first forays into washing fibre. Over time you’ll trust yourself more and more.
I’ve never have had issues washing raw fibre. There is always a chance it MIGHT felt, but I’ve never had problems. If after washing it feels brittle, it might have other issues caused by age or very improper dyeing or moth damage. I can’t predict those. But at least you’ll have tried and it’s better to find out about those before spinning rather than after. So here I am sitting on my couch in the Belgian countryside with crossed fingers and toes that all goes well. It should be absolutely fine.
Turn over and repeat.
I’ll often steam fluff, even when it doesn’t look compacted. You’d be amazed at how much easier it drafts after a bit of steam.
Just never, EVER use fabric softener. That stuff is evil. It costs money, wreaks havoc on washing machines and most fibres. The only things I use fabric softener for are:
Dryer sheets: stuffed inside knitted hats, beanies and caps to prevent static hair when it’s freezing.
Liquid fabric softener: to remove burnt food from the bottom of a pan (a splash of softener in hot water, leave to soak and the burnt ick comes right off). Rinse and wash well afterwards to remove traces of softener though.
That cardigan is absolutely stunning! I’m in awe. 😍
I hope you don’t mind… but about your kids: remember that you and Mr. Cinnamon are amazing parents. You have the right set of values and stand by them. The partners your kids come home with see that and feel that. They get nurtured by that, too. Life has no guarantees, but you are giving them everything they need to succeed. They know that when life happens, they can come to you. They have a support system. Never underestimate the value and the power of what you are giving through sheer love and common sense. Somehow, your kids will find their way, write their own life story and in their own way, be successful. You teach them love, common sense, resourcefulness, respect of self and respect for others. Will they have degrees? Will they earn pots of money? Only time will tell. Will they turn out right in the areas that matter? I have no doubt your kids will. And those whose lives they touch (and you touch thanks to them) will benefit from it. Because you are good people.
R J s sweater is beautiful i know he's going to love it and be so appreciative . I am also one of those people who wants to make a wearable but can't. I get to frustrated. I tried your Miss Libby shaw and it was a disaster . So I frogged it and hopefully will try again. You make everything look so easy but im just barely an average crocheter

THAT CARDIGAN IS BEAUTIFUL.YOU ALWAYS MAKE ME LAUGH.GET A LINT BRUSH .CANT WAIT TO SEE RJ IN THE SWEATER.
Good morning Jen ❤ RJ lucky guy. U r amazing.
Good morning, Jennifer. I am thankful my car will not lock if the keys are inside.
I love your cardigan for RJ! Question what kind of join do you use with your creations for running out of a color mid row? What's stays the best please? 🤔
Hi Jennifer!
Morning 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
Just keep on doing what you're doing with Lucas. He will come into himself just like my son did. You won't find a. Kinder person than my son nor a more productive one. He has golden hands and can make or fix anything. I had every worry you have but I am really proud of him now.
Awesomeness
I’m being assessed for adhd and I knit my sleeves so they come to the middle of my fingers x
I'm that person. Scared to make a wearable. Hopefully someday i will find the courage.
Hi Jennifer that's an awesome looking cardigan. Have a great new year. 2025 is knocking on the door ❤❤❤
Jennifer, did the yarn make the little blocks by itself or did you do something special with the yarn?
Good morning,
I'm a first time viewer.
You have made me laugh this morning, thank you.
Wash that stinky stuff😂
Good morning!
