I have a 12 week old puppy and a 2 year old Australian Sheppard. The Aussie lately spends a lot of time growling and has recently started to bully and get after the 12 week old for what seems to be unprovoked. Older dog was neutered a week ago and has shown a lot of attitude the last few days
What a gorgeous GS. I have 5 year old male GS, I've just got a fenale pup GS. My male will not even share the same space , never left alone I remove all processions. Hoping it'll get better in time its only being 2weeks.
Did it get better? My 10 year old golden is showing teeth and growling and even almost nipped my 8 week old puppy and I’m starting to think this was a mistake
@@angelamarie8501 hey Angela, did you persist with the puppy? We just got a toy poodle 9 weeks old today and when we brought him home our 5 year old miniature poodle snapped at him and no we are unsure of what to do, thanks.
@@caylempapa yes! They are friends now!! We got a big gate and separated them we put one in the living room and one in the dining room so our older dog got a break we did that for a few weeks and now she tolerates the pup lol she still has her days when she growls at her for being too hyper but then she plays with her! @@JuliesK9Academy Excellent advice! It's unfortunate that people at the dog park can't seem to understand that concept. Instead they allow their hyper puppies to harass older dogs like my dog and when he snaps back, he's made out to be the problem.. smh
I know this is an old video but i really could use some advice. We have a 4y old female very friendly, socialized golden retriever. A week ago we adopted a 6 month old female smaller dog. What we noticed now is that this pup tries to intimidate our golden. She slowly walks towards her with an intense stare, she then sits beside my golden and keeps staring. My golden tries to avoid a conflict by looking away but the pup just keeps staring at her and i noticed it makes my golden very unconfortable. Atm what im doing is stepping between then and use my body to make the pup step away. But i have no idea if thats the right thing to do. Should i step in or not? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Ty!!!

put a leash on the puppy

make your older retriever dog put that small dog in her place she needs to respect her seniors!
