Looks very nice 👍
Thanks! I appreciate that 👍
Natural is a great design. Congratulations
Thank you so much👍
You've managed to give the bowl that extra bit of a wow, by keeping that section of bark on. Love the finish!
Thank you so much!
Looks great, Luie! That bit of bark really sets off the rest of the piece. Good job! 😃
Phil
Thanks Phil!!
I really wish more of the bark would of stayed on…..but we can’t always control that.
Sure is a cool looking piece Luie. The colors are great and so much to see with all those knots in there. I think filling that crack was a good choice. It looks pretty natural.
Also just enough bark to tease your eyes and thoughts of what it looked like growing where it did.
Great work,
Gary
Thank you for your kind words👍
Another beautiful bowl. 👍😃Thanks Luie 😊
Thank you !
Came out gorgeous! I love the rustic design.
Thanks 😊
Always interesting ❤
Thanks I appreciate you 👍😎
Very nice work with a fun piece of wood. The bark on the rim looks oks good.
Thanks Doug
I was concerned that it was turning out rather heavy, a bit too chunky but in the final pictures it actually looks very handsome and the remaining bark sets it off extremely well. As always Luie, a wonderful piece of work. Thanks for showing us how it's done.
It definitely is on the chunky side
Thanks for commenting 👍
That looks great Luie. Loving the natural edge
Thank you so much!!
Beautiful grain in that, Luie! And the natural edge looks cool! Great job!
Thank you Billy!
Very beautiful Luie.

You amaze me Luie. Nice job
Thank you so much Bruce!
Beautiful bowl Luie, that wood has such nice color and grain patterns and the finish really enhances it, well done and thanks!
Cheers Al

Lovely bowl Luie, great work!!
Thank you so much I appreciate that 👍😊
Nice one Luie......its called twisted willow here.....❤
Thanks I never heard of it before he gave me some👍
Nice job. Never thought willow was good for anything.
Hmm all wood is good for something 👍😊😎
Looks great. Hard to beat Howard feed and wax.
Thank you !
I like it for uneven projects like this 👍
Looks good Luie. A fairly tricky piece to turn and finish but worth it.
Thank you it was fun I enjoyed it!
Crotch wood always expressive if you expose the “feather” grain. Looks like you have been learning a trick or two from Phil! 🤪 As to the crack: Starbond has a brown C.A. that I like using when I don’t want the crack to be a feature. It is very golden and blends in seamlessly on most woods. Hope he enjoys the bowl, and looking forward to seeing you turn more of it.
Thank you!
As I was applying the black CA I was thinking to myself I need to order some brown CA😂
That is astonishing Luie and it was just like watching Phil.
That small amount of bark makes the piece for me.
I absolutely sure your friends will love it.
Take care my friend.
Cheers, Huw

Thank you!
I can’t say that Phil isn’t rubbing of on me.😊 he is an amazing turner I can only wish to be half as good as him some day!
Yep. I'm with Phil.
Thank you so much👍
That did turn out great. Being able to keep all those characteristics is great. My only worry about NOT filling the crack would be a possible increase in the size of the crack.
Thank you
My thoughts too
Nice
Thanks!!!!
Nice! I have one of those trees in my yard, but it is only maybe 3 inches thick.
Never heard of it before this one
