The ride at 5:08in the video looks like an updated version of the tilt a World ride it looks really cool. Anyways as someone who years ago traveled with one of north America's largest traveling carnivals the things we see the ride operators doing on this particular ride standing on the ride to give the riders an extra spin this would literally never be allowed in canada end of story fact. Anyways doing that yes would absolutely make it more fun for the riders but just wouldn't be allowed in canada no way not in a million years.🎡🎢🙂👍✌ Thanks for posting its always interesting to see how traveling carnivals in other countries are run and whats allowed compared to how i know it to be from my own past experience working with a traveling carnival in Canada 🇨🇦.
WOW! All the rides are FAR bigger and more sophisticated and beautiful than their 1960s counterparts. That really is a class display of engineering. Having said that the visitors look unusually normal for the Ilson Fair. My recollections from 50+ years ago was gangs of mods and rockers and incredibly scruffy sinister loners, the like of which you only ever saw at the annual fair. I well recall the boxing booth where a tired old boxer would challenge local pugilists, with a £5.00 prize on offer which was rarely won. The motorcyle 'Wall of Death' and of course the 'Haunted Windmill' where some of us lucky schoolboys secured our first kiss. A great local fair to be preserved and cherished! Thanks for a wonderful video, invoking in me nostalgic memories from way back when. Where's my zimmer frame I need a waz?
Don't agree with you there, who ca forget Billy warwicks Spectrum skid ,that was a ride.thats why jimmy Bowrys skid at Goose Fair does so well .The new rides are awesome yes, put nowt can compare with Holland's Ark ,vampire tilting jets ,octopus etc the list is endless.
