Smallville had the best ever Kara Zor-el/Supergirl with Laura Diane Vandervoort in it. Iwish she is again Supergirl in the possible Supergirl reboot movie !
THANK YOU for saying that season 9 was a lower tier season. I've been rewatching and I'm currently on season 9, and every list I see has it like top 3, which I don't understand. I don't love the Zod storyline, it just drags on. Maybe I just don't love the actor but idk
My personal ranking is S1, S3, S2, S9, S8, S4, S10, S5, S6, and S7. The reason why I dislike S5-S7 so much is because the show lacked direction and really had to rely on soap opera storytelling. The only thing those three seasons really showed is why Clana doesn't work. I'm often shocked when many say that they loved S5 so much. Even Al and Miles consider it their best season. But it beats the Clana dead horse again, starts up Lex/Lana which was the worst mistake of the show, and it puts Johnathan in the public eye which is totally out of character. He's always been about privacy/anonymity to protect Clark but suddenly he wants to be state senator and expose his family? **Plus his death winds up being pointless because nothing changes and Clark learns absolutely nothing from it to help him grow. At least if JK had to die, give it meaning.
Every Smallville season. My joint personal favourites are seasons four and six and my least favourite was season eight, but tbh I liked every season of this great show as it was so consistent and awesome and Clark Kent's journey in Smallville was nothing short of spectacular to watch imo after seeing every he went through before he took to the skies, though I agree some episodes and seasons were better than others but overall I loved every second of every episode of every season of this brilliant show thanks to its awesome cast and crew who did a fantastic job and why it lasted for ten seasons as everyone on Smallville must've been doing something right for it to last that long. Will we ever see anything like this again? Who knows but I'm happy that this show exists and I love it for what it is and what it did and I wouldn't change anything about it, though there’s places where the writing could’ve been better and Tom Welling could’ve put the Superman suit on. For me Smallville started off good with season one, two and three, got better with season four, five, six and seven, went down a little bit with season eight then picked up again a little bit with seasons nine and ten, but in all honesty, every season was good imo, though we all have our views on them and that's ok.
