I recommend instead of just immediately starting with trying to learn the trick just try a easier way of learning. Try to just toss it and catch it with the off hand behind ur back instead of immediately trying a scissor you can't see with hand your not fully comfortable with. Just catch and don't do anything else so you can get used to it. Then when your comfortable doing that, move onto doing the scissor. Then after that learn the rest of the trick.
