cool model and a DR Who fan I see :) cool , my last xmas project was a 1/6 friesian mare with a sleigh to pull (so little bit bigger :) ) and I did it with spray paint and she has brushable hair iv'e not really done oils as they do take an age to dry 😅

I’d love to see it!! Email it to me at Justdesigned@outlook.com
I also want to try and do air brushing/ spray paint however I cannot afford to do so right now lol.
Oils are tricky for a first timer however if you use paint thinner and work in small chunks of time for drying it’s doable and it helps conceal any sort of brush strokes!
I am an avid Whovian. ;) I also have a horse tattoo s well on my left calf muscle.

you sholud not use oil paint pastels or acrylic only and with apoxy use water to smooth surface Work hard! And you should study horse anatomy :)

just wanna add that you can use oil paint, but it's tricker to work with and requires much more practice due to the nature of the medium. if you're just beginning your customizing journey, using acrylics, pastels, and airbrush are the best mediums to get your feet in the water!!

@@lewusiowaart634 I understand that this is coming off as criticism yet it is just incorrect, If you wait in between drying and working in small chunks at a time this is 100% okay to do, I’ve been painting for years and as long as you let your paint dry and have a good base it’s actually quite common of a technique. I have been studying horse anatomy for a really long time probably way longer than you’d believe it was just my first time sculpting and if you hear me in the video I say it’s my first time using apoxie sculpt. I went to collage for Graphic Design and Art, I took ceramics but that was the only time I used clay as a medium so I’m in a learning curve.

@@P.M.T.Collects This is correct, it is a lot harder, I have been customizing for a while so I know what I’m doing when it comes to painting. However sculpting was my first time.
