I miss times where the paint and decals on motorcycles were colorful and pretty
NGL makes me a bit sad that these have all left the UK!
Blame 14 years of Tory economic mismanagement for the weak Pound. Some nice bikes in there too
Bmw GS's and royal enfields seems that's all that sells in the uk these days. Super sports are 10 a penny
@@JSmith19858 *economic mismanagement would have been committed by either party.
@@TheOriginalCoda Labour would have printed billions since 2019 and handed it out in tax breaks to the rich and dodgy contracts, and crafted a mini budget that tripled interest rates?
@@TheOriginalCoda oh and instituted an austerity program that set the country back a decade that was based on excel spreadsheet error
Zed XR !
As a Brit it pains me that these have all left the uk
We've sent so many over and even more from our Japan partner straight there. Brings some really interesting bikes that the USA didn't see. Plenty of bikes to go around
Tell me the UK pound is toast without telling me!
@@sprocket-YT that does help. I really feel bad for my mates and family back in Australia. When I came to the states it was 2 usd to 1 AUD. Boggles my mind how currency can swing so much
@@AdamTromp think the last time USA to UK imports on bikes was big was 20 years + ago!
@@sprocket-YT You're probably right. Tell you this though...I've seems some rather HUGE collections in the UK, Here too but especially there. There is no shortage of bikes in Europe
Any of the 400 pocket rockets would have been grey imports from Japan as they were never officially sold in the UK. They were all the rage back in the 90's.
I'm from England, now I live in Canada. Felt really nostalgic watching this, I had the purple SRAD brand new in 96.
Great video!
Yeah I miss the Good 'Ol Days! I had a 1 owner Honeycomb/Gold '96 SRAD exactly as shown from the container & also the '89 ZXR750 'h'
Cheers 👍🇦🇺
how do you like living in Canada? I was born here and am planning my escape in 5 years when I retire. This country has been turned into a hell hole.
Things are going downhill here, very expensive and a corrupt government.
I live in Alberta, roads are long, straight, not many twisties. Not great for sports bikes. And of course from October to March it's freezing cold, and snows alot!
But, if you are into trails, off roading, adventure bikes, it's pretty awesome.
5-10 years ago all 70’s bikes were coming from USA to U.K. !
Britain is bankrupt and will never rise again..... so not it will not come back.
True, I bought a lovely Z650 a 1979 model, the carbs were a cunt to get right due to gone off juice
Love that the 90’s are back and strong again!
Except the mullets, they should stay in the 90’s!
Love my 1995 GSXR-1100W in beautiful “Oh So 90’s Purple and Black/Blue” that I still own and bought new in Dec 1994!
I’ve shared it a few times on your FB posts….
They all look right hand drive through 🤣🤣🤣
HAAHAHA!
Years ago, we got off the ferry from Dover to Calais on our annual bike run and my mate said "Just gotta convert to Left Hand Drive". We laughed but then he moved his only mirror from the right to the left. 😂
RC45 still has a valid UK MOT !!!! shipping classic bikes bikes back to America ..... changed days ....was the other way round for decades .
We still ship quite a few back. One just sold to a gent in Paris last week. They seem to just go all over the globe and some return after a few years
my thoughts
I always think 🤔 Old Bicks looks much better than Now..
stunning to see all of that🖌️🥇👌🏻
That sticker on the blue/white Gsxr's tailpiece was from the now sadly defunct Performance Bikes magazine. I had it on the back of my old Shoei 😁
oh man....PB was a great magazine!!
Agreed 👍 Ronnie and all
I used to read that mag from cover to cover over and over! Such a fun read
Rc45 is the coolest bike there
The RC45 is royalty amongst those other bikes. ZXR with hoover tubes is my poster bike of the 90s though. oh and the KR1S in the background
I have a '90 FZR1000 (with an '06 R1 motor) and never realized the RC45, GSXRs, and ZXRs of the same era looked so similar.
This is heaven
If you want to see something funny show up to Mid-Ohio vintage days on setup day and watch all the Japanese guys buying old KZ's, H2's, CB's and such and sending them back to Japan. Last year I think they filled 4 or 5 containers.
Yep, we had a group of guys come in and buy a whole bunch of the S.Africa bikes and sent them to Japan. Love seeing them go all around the world
Wish they were coming INTO the Uk...
Our Japan partners are sending a container directly to the UK soon if they haven't already. Some gems in there!
That 2 stroke has to be the most valuable bike there.
The RC45 is probably the biggest ticket one but we just handled the shipping on it and not sure he will sell. The 2 strokes are personal favorites so "most valuable to ME"
@@AdamTromp I would have thought it would be mega money considering no one is making those engines anymore at that capacity..... Maybe in 20 years.
The Honda NSR 250 is my dream bike of the 30 too..there's a dealer 8 or 9 miles away from me who has the other 2 competitors..the RGV and KR1 in his showroom..no TZR anywhere to be seen
Ill take any 2-stroke there.
We got both those SRAD paint jobs up here in Canada
Yep, I had a black and gold one. Regret selling that one.
we didn't call it a ZEE X 7....it was a Zed X
OMG those two-strokes I love them
I owned the KR1-S and the blue GSXR750 back in the day. Both great bikes. I miss em!
That purple gsxr1100 looks amazing 😍
Farnham Honda are just up the road from me. Rode an 888 around Goodwood a few years back. Not mine, the owner was behind me in his F40 & couldn't get past.
Purple zx7 is rare❤
These beauties and now Matt black paint, engines and casings and exhausts. Vile
Feeling sick right now, all these bikes leaving the UK, a small island we need to keep them all here.
I didn't see any of the most beautiful motorcycles ever made: the Triumph Daytona 675
Those are too new to import to the US but we do have a US-spec example in black/gold that will be going up on our auction site in the next week or two!
I really love 90's bike...please lemme have that NSR 250 and ZxR 750J 🤩😋
The purple SRAD is the sportbike that got me into this, a guy that lived in the condo had one just like this one with the carbon Yoshi and that is one of the most inconic bikes ever (to me) that was the exact model that made me love sportbikes
The 1992 Suzuki RM250 had a similar, and truly horrible graphic scheme.
Those grey/purple GSXR750 SRAD’s were terrible sellers, they were sold at a huge discount to just sell them, outnumbered 20 to 1 by the blue/white models.
@@iaing9028Srads were terrible sellers full stop, you can’t give them away in the UK. It’s great that US dealers are paying silly money for them though, bring it on 😂👍
@@gazmoto It was a game changer bike at the time. More nostalgic buyers than anything. I admit, my first SRAD sure changed my view on sportbikes and at the time they were selling out at dealers. I had to go to a few to find one.
😮truly iconic
Good chance that the bikes with kph clocks have already been imported into the uk,as our speedo’s read in mph. But u gotta luv the 90’s shell suit paint jobs!! Remember the original blade in the tri colour paint!! And the urban tiger!!👍👍
Great point!
Woah didn't realise bikes like these left the UK quite gutting to see the Slingshots but I haven't got room for any more!
Id buy them all!
I love them!
Love these bright vibrant purple, orange and green 90s colours! My uncle had purple Gsxr 750 when i was about 10ish 👌🏻
9:04 I owned a -93 gsxr 750 exactly like that one. Someone have shaved off paint on those rims though, they should be all purple.
Rc45 is my all time favorite bike. Someday I’ll get one.
Good luck in getting an RC45, you will need it. The reason they are exporting them to the US is they can sell for $100k there, they have gone up in value here, but not that much.
@@iaing9028 I've got one for sale at £30k, French import.
That's some fluffy Gixxer Cheetah fluff
I had 2 of the bikes there !
19:12 I'm sure that's a 750sp. The different size headlights is the give away. Rare as rocking horse poop
I’ll have the 851, the Kr1s and the Pepsi rgv250 plz.
The Pepsi Suzuki would fetch over £10,000 in UK
So many awesome bikes on there! My old mechanic had an imported RGV250 Pepsi edition that was on display in his little show room. He took it to the track regularly. I always preferred the reverse cylinder TZR250 he had in the back of his workshop though. Looked seriously cool with the exhaust pipes sticking out the back of the tail unit.
You have GREAT taste!
A had the zxr750l2 same paint
Heck yeah, new vid drop! Like the new intro btw. Also like the longer form video to take it all in ❤
Agreed! More vids guys!!
Thank you! we're working on it
ที่น่าสนใจที่สุดคือพวก ZXR
@12:51 i got a 1990 GSXR 400 exactsame colours as that, sitting in my shed, bikes complete but its been sitting for a loooooong time needs alot of TLC i'll get around it at some point
Noticed a pattern of some UK bikes actually originating from Netherlands. In particular Yamaha bikes.
Barely any Yamaha here.
Most certainly some big motorbike enthusiasts in the Netherlands. I've seen some amazing collections there!
@@AdamTromp Yamaha EU located in Netherlands. Largest seaport and logistics system in EU.
Brits, Dutch, Germans, Spanish and certainly the Italians love their bikes.
@@TriAngles3D Thanks so much, sounds familiar but let me check in again
You know there is someone in the UK filming the exact same thing. LOL
Hi Guy's What a collection WOW, But no 1994/95 Urban Tiger Fireblade's ? Did the States get the Urban Tiger Models ? ATB Wayne UK, PS I have one if interested ...........😀
We didnt get the Urban tigers, super popular here
@@AdamTromp Cool thx
How long does a ship take to get from the UK to the port of LA?
Depends, pretty quick to the Eastern USA but up to about 3 weeks depending on the back up at the ports
Shame there's no rd's there plenty of them around in the UK still
When I saw this video, I miss my old bikes, the 1989 VFR400R NC30 and 1994 GSXR1100.😭
@ 18:13 It's exactly the same color as mine.
The NC30 is an amazing bike, I had one years ago. Just remove the speed limiter in the speedo and it was a 130mph rocket. Gear driven cams on a V4, you could rev the nuts off it and it never missed a beat. It would perform way beyond its pay grade.
...HELLO DADDY!😂✌
In Ireland back in the day we used to call those colourful wacky colors on the gixxers Disco colors
(I'm still watching, not got to the end yet) Is that a gorgeous little GSXR 400 I see?
That is correct!
without being biased but the UK gets the best version of bikes int he world for colours and engine types that are just normal where most other nations they are banned
That is true for Japan. UK gets the same motorcycles the rest of Europe gets.
@brunocarmona4958 no the UK doesn't. The bikes pre 2003 in Europe where restricted to 100hp but the UK never adopted that rule. Plus some paints schemes the UK got the rest of Europe never had.
Not to mention in the UK we could import anything we wanted without restrictions from any nations yet in mainland Europe that wasn't the case.
I know this because I now live in Switzerland and my bikes can't be imported not can they in Germany France Austria or Italy around me.
@@SRSpoony 100hp restriction was enforced in France and Germany. Not in the rest of European countries. Yes, a lot of Japanese only models were imported second hand to the UK. But that shows what I was saying. Japan got models that were never sold new outside of Japan.
@brunocarmona4958 I've lived in the nation I mentioned all all had 100hp rule, Italy didn't really check bikes that much but the rest did. I'm not allowed to import the bikes I have and they are still on UK plates as a result for 13 years now.
Couldn't even use military privilege to get them sorted. I have 2 iatlian and 5 jap bikes and all have the same issue.
Ppfftt.. Nonsense.. The UK has in the past got some of the worst versions of motorcycles
You got great uk bikes there, classic colours on the suzuki's and kawasaki's,.RVF and 851 were my faves, let me know who and where are your uk partners, ive still got my year 2000 reg'd R7 OW02 if your interested ?
it's getting close to OLD ENOUGH to import but we rarely buy bikes abroad. These bikes were all bought or brought in on consignment from our partner in the UK. I'd love to hear more about this one if you're keen to send it through our contact us button on our site though.
Wow great video…
Sweet collection, I still have my 97 GSXR 600 SRAD. I bought in 98 with the purple black and pewter scheme. And it's pronounced SHRAD not S-RAD
I may have seen some these bikes at auction. Some of which went for way under there value. What year is the gsxr and in particular is it the the 750 slingshot 88 to 89 they only made them for two year it had a short stroke engine we have one here.
Nice Ducati. I would love a 1996 rgv250 sp.10.000 to 15.000£ The RC45 these wasn’t cheap 40.000 to 50.000£ last time I checked. On further inspection the gsxr is on the change over so at least 91 92.
The 88 89 didn’t have usd forks this one gsxr 750 slingshot with twin round head light it definitely has the wrong forks and it should be either 88 89. A 2001 R1 could not out run it on uk roads don’t ask me how I know.
Does a Brit plum pudding come with each bike?
Unloading the 80's and 90's
Ducati 851 SP3 for me please!
Question what's the average price of one of these auction bikes what do they usually go for at auction
It really ranges. We just make our $ on the 7% buyers fee
Had a ZXR400 when I was 18, now 52. Wish I’d never sold it.
Purple is the new black…
i always tought that was a handle not a spoiler , either equally pointless in reality
can u get a norton manx from the 60's?
I’m from the uk and I’m feeling a bit gutted 😢that all our classics are being sold abroad, but in all honesty if we don’t buy them now while we can it’s done to us. Keep up the good content. New sub here 🎉
Don't feel too bad - we send bikes back and forth to the UK and Japan all the time! Thanks for the sub!
@@IconicMotorbikes I don’t feel bad bro 😎 Iv got 2 from the USA 🇺🇸
@@3rror_unknown_user nice! What'd you pick up?
Brave buying used bikes from the UK where they've most likely seen salty wet roads all winter.
pretty common with bikes worldwide, just takes a keen eye to really check them over. Salt on roads is common everywhere but most people don't ride on snow / ice. Oxidation is very common in japan as well so it's just really important that each bike gets a close inspection
Where the hell did you find that GSXR7501990??? They are impossible to find here!
Quite often sellers just contact us as they couldnt sell privately or had a bad experience elsewhere.
Pretty sure non of these beauties are from UK Facebook market place.
be careful on FB marketplace. On the USA side we've seen a massive increase in scams with people even using photos of bikes on our inventory
The nsr and the rvf are worth a fortune
All those bikes and not one original fireblade, the bike that re-wrote the rule book. With regards to you loving those paint jobs, it’s always fair to say the USA has been the opposite of the uk when it comes to taste. All those Gixxer’s have been exported because no one wants purple or gold ones anymore. The best bike there is the 90 GSXR 750L in the right colour for me.
What a shame! 😭🇬🇧 should have done a swap for choppers and Harley’s
It’s not zee ex ar it’s zed ex ar
As someone from the UK, I wonder how many of these bikes are stolen/cloned
Damn these paint schemes are rare in the uk too, should have stayed in the uk, gutted😢
How can i buy a bike from you?
Send me an email: abhi@iconicmotorbikes.com
notchback mustangs are very common , i hope you got it for free ,
A client asked us to put it in our container. I believe it has some significance to him as it made no sense to me either.
I always thought bikes were imported to the UK from north America???
We send bikes all around the world, they travel all over the place!
@@IconicMotorbikes do you send them to spain ???
@@johnathandaviddunster38 Absolutely!
Great to see some iconic bikes, shame they're leaving blighty. Weird that we import knackered old shonkers from the the US to do up and the US imports ready to ride classics from the UK
they come over here, stealing our classic motorcycles...🤣🤣🤣
🏍👍👍👍
No one rides them old things in UK no more
Gutted to see so many kawasaki zxr left the uk Best get my finger out and get a zxr750 before they are all gone . 😢
No, mate, we don't call them "Zee" anything. We say Zed.
How many were stolen?
@iconic Motorbikes snd me a bike plllsssss
They are left hand drive motorbike 😂😂😂
Too bad these are all right hand drive.
There is a conversion kit though….😂
If they have Kms on them they are not UK bikes ! UK use mph, they could be imported but that's unlikely unless it is a 400.
Correct - the container came to us from the UK but the owner of these bikes presumably sourced them from all over.
quote "you should be buying these to have fun with, not to buy and flip"
Isn't that exactly what you are doing?
Exactly
Our UK partner bought them, not us and most of the bikes need mechanical attention before reselling. The buyer fees are 7% but sometimes that doesnt even come to fruition. The goad is to get more people on bikes and that's why many are sold at breakeven or a loss, especially if you look at what it costs to get them back on the road. Don't get me wrong, some are profitable but that's how business stay afloat. I didn't buy my jeep from the factory, I went to a dealer. We're happy to help people that find bikes on their own with transport, service, paperwork or restorations...just be careful as there are a lot of scams out there these days
Zed Ex Er 750.....
Pity so many decent used bikes go from our home market.
This made me laugh as due to the tax and yearly inspection (m o t ) test hear in the UK any vehicle over 40 years old have shot up in value to the point that several businesses import old bikes that they sourced from the USA ! There is a team of buyers searching out buildings gardens and garages in the USA and paying peanut prices because they can including shipping make a good profit hear .to see bikes going the other way makes me smile 😁 as I used to be in the trade and sports bikes age very fast ,most only get a first service then the racer boys want next year's model and they trade them in for the new new new one .are these going back on the road or just into a collection to be horded away ?
Never understood the iconic classified section. I have wanted to get additional details on bikes being sold, used the comments section to ask questions thinking someone would reply..and nothing ever happened..no response from anyone. So I gave up with iconic and snow tick to BAT and Mecum auctions for buying great bikes.
We just hired 4 more people so that's highly unlikely as we all watch the comments daily and now have them pinging the entire team. I can pretty much guarantee you won't get someone to answer a call at BaT or Mecum. We had a disaster situation with Mecum and they banned us from coming back, all we wanted were the titles and a little help with other problems, be careful!
I'm sorry (and surprised) to hear that, our team is normally quite good about this. Would you mind reaching out to me at abhi@iconicmotorbikes.com? I'd love to confirm where you left your comments and make sure we address this.
omg he skips RVF750
Huh? We talk about it at 2:40
HEY ICONIC!!!!
I found a 1994 FZR 1000 in England 6 mos ago that was in perfect shape and reasonably priced. I tried everything to get it shipped here to Georgia.
Everyone I talked to, including Iconic, acted as if I was trying to move heaven and earth to have the bike shipped to me.
Now, here they are with a massive load of bikes.
WTF!!!!!!
Can someone please help me? Im trying to replace my beloved 94 FZR 1000 that was taken from me by a drunk idiot driver in 2005.
It's just really pricey when it's a single bike as it has to go LCL. 4 of the bikes on this container are for other customers and we just charged a small portion of the entire cost to the clients with a small fee. We won't be bringing any more in for a while though as we have other priorities. Email our transport dept but as long as it's 25 years old, it's not that hard, just adds up cost wise
I hear ya! I have a 90 FZR 1k (with an 06 R1 motor) and love how she looks, too.
Sorry to hear about your 94, but glad you're ABLE to hunt for another.
