I totally thought the ants crawling on the Rock Bridge sign were on my monitor. Got me, even if you didn't know you were punking me. And caving is so awesome that I cave dive and "dry" cave as well. Eventually I became a cave geologist. CAVES ROCK!! Especially the deep, dark and not-so-visited ones.
Hi Ellie, When I was young, every year for winter break, my family would drive down to Florida to visit my grandparents, and on the way down we would drive through Kentucky. And I always saw the billboards for the Mammoth Caves. It is the largest cave system in the world, but my dad never wanted to take the time to stop because he always wanted to drive straight through to Florida , so I never got to see it. It would be cool if you could visit it and make a video about it.
Ellie - if you love caving, maybe a visit to California is in store for you… Moaning Caverns near Angel’s Camp, CA has some adventure you’d enjoy - there’s a half day spelunking tour that takes you down deep into the nooks and crannies of the cave system, crawl suit, gloves and helmet are provided. It’s a HIGH exertion half day that is ABSOLUTELY worth the trip! When I went years ago, we free air rappelled 165’ down to the cave floor (I don’t think they offer the rappel option now, though). There are a few other cave systems nearby that you can check out, too! (Black Chasm Cavern, California Cavern, Mercer Cavern). I’ve visited all of them and the sights are amazing!
Ellie, You should see the ice caves at Craters of the Moon National Monument. There is ice in the lava tubes in the summer when surface temperatures reach 140 degrees.
I love spelunking! Find a local spelunking group wherever you go. Then you'll see amazing sights and safe adventures. As commented above always be prepared and be sure you are with a competent group. I have a very memorable trip which could have gone terribly wrong as in preparation had begun to launch a search party. To long a tale for a comment, though.
If you have time for an awesome guided cave trip try Lake of the Ozarks state park with access east of Linn Creek, southeast of Osage Beach! Salamanders and blind newts! Great hiking there also!!!
You should pop over to the UK we have many caves you can explore. So are really good some really harder some take hours some take days would be great to see you over here.
I'm with you with caving. In Santa Cruz we went into a small hole in the side of a mountain and went down and down. Sometimes it was so tight I had to breathe in to wedge myself in the space so I could shift my weight and exhale to move forward a few inches. The thing that was most amazing was the absolute blackout when we turned our lights off. It was the only time I could experience what it was like to be blind. Yeah, no claustrophobics allowed. It was intense and dangerous. Thank you for thinking of us with the unique content.
Head south to Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas if you have the time and check out the hiking trails. I think you will like the place. They have a bear cave and rock house cave trail. Also, a beautiful waterfall and lots of cool rock formations you can climb!
I know you were at Fox 13 in Salt Lake, did you ever take the hike ip to Timpanogos Cave up American Fork Canyon? If not next time your in town try it out. It's beautiful.
For Future Reference: If going hiking or cave diving, wear hiking boots (UGHs, etc)...not sneakers. And Yes remember your water, snacks, flashlight, maps, and hiking buddy 🚶. You never know who or what you will come across.
I would never go into a cave alone or without good shoes and being fully covered. At a minimum, I would be concerned about the potential for poisonous snakes and spiders.
Video on how being unprepared sucks. Opt for re-useable water bottle, time for single use to go bye bye. Carlsbad and Luray caverns are special. Prefer going down to climbing. Gravity is not your friend. thanks for taking us outside
Hi, Ellie! You are making the most of that new top.
That's some beautiful country!
That is a good trail, thanks for taking us along.
Great video Ellie. Something different for us to see, that many of would not normally see. 😊
Thanks! 😊 Glad you liked it!!!
I never would have thought Missouri was so beautiful. Ruth is my favorite badass in Ozark :)
I like Missouri now too, thanks Ellie.

I love doing a cave exploration both guided and unguided. They are always cooler and so many cool things to see in a cave.

Thanks for sharing another adventure and more natural beauty, Ellie. Is you sister there for a few years of school, or for a new job?
Lavabeds Nation Monument, CA. Just don't go a wandering...
My nephew and his family hike this area frequently.
Carlsbad Caverns is the largest cave I've been in.

Yes, or you could easily twist an ankle or hurt yourself another way, always safer to have a partner
Indeed we love the bikini top and the warm weather. 😍
Good thing to do on the 4th!
