Because GT2 is always faster than the GT3, like GT3 are faster than GT4.
GT number series are like Formula. GT1 are faster than GT2, GT2 are faster than GT3 and that goes on.
Last gen Porsche 911 GT2 RS was the fastest Porsche made when it launched. Probably when Porsche launchs the new GT2 RS, that'll become again the new faster model of them.
