- Ivor Cooper of Red Dot Cameras and Mike Evans of photography blog Macfilos.com take us a run through of Leica's new M10-D screen-less camera and Leica's new unified a camera control and photo transfer app: Leica FOTOS
I wish I knew you two blokes in real life. Thanks for the informative video.
I was struggling with the Fotos App. It took an age to connect and threw up an error or two!!! Solution...switch camera to wi-fi and wait until the green lamp stops flashing. Turn on the App and connect. Straight through!!!! And by the way, I love the thumb lever!
Cool review
Could be used as the ON/OFF button or the cocking for film advance like the M6
Is it possible to get it without the writing on top of the camera?
i hope the next gen will put IBIS. Would be a perfect street photography camera!
The forwarding lever of the m10D should be able to wind the shutter instead for the resting the thumb only, as I have it on my LEICA DMR/R9. This save the battery time between two chargings. That was so stupid by the LEICA engeneurs.
I I am baffled as to why the lever was not a fixture from the very beginning. It’s genius. Having to use a thumb rest that takes away some of the usage of the camera… I.e. the hot shoe, Such a lack of foresight
Does the FOTOS app offer to delete the image from SD card in case you have to get rid of your bad pictures? I mean there is no screen, what if the card is full...
Hi Marc, no you cannot delete the images via your phone. This is a safety feature so you don't accidentally wipe out the photos on your card.
@@rdc1ivor97 That's a bummer. But indeed it makes sense from a safety aspect. Guess I will need bigger cards in case I find an M10 D ☺️ Thanks!
Would a EVF work on this camera?
yes
D is for discrete : )
Ivor, sorry, but this camera is ridiculously overpriced and offers little to today's photographer. I love my Leica Q, but cannot understand why Leica charge more for less & having to use a smartphone to operate functions missing from the camera is bonkers . A white elephant, but hey, "you pays yer money and takes yer choice!" Whatever floats your boat.
D is for the people who buy it. Dentists.
Or Dickheads ... describing those that begrudge folk the opportunity to shoot cameras they enjoy using, despite the cost.
