    Hot playing there Dan! Sounds like the IR 200 can work in a lot of applications. I know that you can turn off the IRs too but not sure how. But I will know soon because I ordered one! And a Tonemaster FR-12 too!

    Had to double check if that was a b-bender. Sounds great.

      Brother EmperorJones...it is a BeeGee Bender...but I forgot to put the strap on and therefore the bends are "manual";)

      Thank you Brother Mike for these very kind words;)
      I've stolen all that you hear me playing...from so many along the way that I have listened to. I am a "Professional Musical Thief" just tryin' not to "get caught" by the "Same Lick after Same Lick" Police!

    Great playing as always Dan. Good to know the IR-200 works in front of a Deluxe. I never asked you in my comment on your last video - did the Twin Tonemaster sound better than the 15" speaker your buddy was using as his sound source for the Helix? I would assume so, but just wondering. I think the Tonemaster series is fantastic. Good to see here that you can get another level of clean sound (and probably even at fairly higher volumes) straight into the Deluxe with the IR-200. Wish we had this stuff when I was learning, although I would not have been able to afford much! Picking sound fantastic, I think your Tele in Seafoam green is the same as m Harley Benton (Lake Placid Blue). Minus the BeeGee bender - but maybe not forever! Thanks and enjoy the beautiful Keys.

      Thank you Brother Guy;) Yes...the FR-12 sound "better" than his EV15" powered speaker...but his setup is more than acceptable.
      But...after hearing both sound sources...he bought an FR-12 yesterday off of Amazon...as they are getting hard to find and not available in your typical purchasing places...Reverb, Sam Ash, Sweetwater...etc...,
      The Deluxe/IR200 combo was a "surprise"...one that I could surely make "sonic use of" in a "Live" situation. The Boss IR-200 is quite the "simple but beneficial" sound device...I now own 3 of them...one "back up" for live shows and another built into a "headphone practice rig" I designed using my 20V lithium batteries I have in abundance for power tools. Makes this "practice rig" portable & I don't require any "wall source" electricity;)
      And yes...that's the SeaFoam Green BeeGee Bender...without using the bender mechanism (as I forgot to put the strap on). All original with the Neck pickup removed from the Tone control mod I have done on all the BeeGee Benders;)
      Thank you again...and my prayers to you, your family and friends...Sincerely I am....Dan;)

      @@musicmandan1717 Yeah they are getting popular. It just makes sense for a lot of people. Glad your buddy took the dive after he heard it. I'm back up in the mountains today so I might go to the shop I purchased the Lion at, just to see if they have any recommendations, or possibly an FR-12. You are right, they are getting harder to find, and probably won't get any cheaper either. I never made it to the Sam Ash sale by me, but I heard there wasn't anything too special. I think considering they are just moving to an online presence, it wasn't your typical blowout going out of business sale. Thanks again and appreciate the insights as always.

    Have you done any sessions wirth Tom Bukovac? Great vid!

    • @musicmandan1717
      @musicmandan1717  2 місяці тому +1

      Yes...indirectly. I have "overdubbed" in "Post Production" tracking sessions recording "additional instruments" to a song i.e. fiddle, mandolin, dobro, acoustic, background vocals, etc...,
      While I haven't had the pleasure of working any of the main "tracking sessions" with Tom, he has been the guitar player that I am "listening to" in my headphones while working on these "Overdub" sessions for various producers and projects we have been hired to perform on.
      The main "bulk" of my recording work has been on "Demo" sessions...sessions that are primarily coming up with a "working outline" to represent a version of the song that shows the "appeal" of the production to a producer or artist as to "get them interested" in the possibilities of recording the song as a "Master" on an album.
      I began working on "demos" in 1991 in Nashville and, from that point, worked on literally thousand upon thousand of songs up until 2010 where I began focusing my "creativity" on TV productions for CBS where I produced a fishing show for 10 years called, "Fishin' Affliction".
      From 2010 until now, I have been very fortunate to "pick and choose" when and where I lend my efforts regarding the recording end of music...& I have been involved on the "business" end for many "up and coming" artist along with a few "major" artist in the field of Artist Development and Consultation.
      I am still very fortunate to work for several producers in Nashville, namely Mr. Neal James, who is kind enough to refer to me as his "A-Session" guitarist...a very nice "title" meaning that I am his "1st call" for his sessions regarding acoustic guitar, mandolin, classical guitar & dobro work.
      Neal has used some of the finest "electric" guitar pickers in Nashville in past & more than likely has used Tom a time or two but never on a session I was present upon.
      Tom has made a "career" out of being a true "Session Man" and the wisdom that he imparts upon his channel when he speaks of his vast experiences are truly enlightening and invaluable...and I always enjoy watching someone with such experience.
      There are several "UA-camrs" based out of Nashville that are very "young" with their experiences...but are "talking" like they have "done it all" (an actual quote from one of them that has been around for "almost a decade in Nashville...another quote from the same source) and...now going into my 44th year of living in the Nashville area and being "involved" in it's Music Scene to some degree since moving there in 1981, I am truly "amazed" at the "opinions of the young" as they seem to have gathered their "experience" from watching others on UA-cam who are talking about the same subjects...and therefore "know" what they are "talking about"...because they are "talking about it".
      The Music World has changed...but there will always be a demand for the combination of "Professionalism & Talent"...a very rare commodity that separates those "think" they are "professionals" and "think" they have "talent".
      And this is something that is learned over "Time & Experience"...like Tom Bukovac and many others that have been doing this for a "long time";)
      My prayers to you, your family and friends...Sincerely I am...Dan;)

    Makes no sense to use an ir into an amp

    • @musicmandan1717
      @musicmandan1717  2 місяці тому +2

      Sure it does my Brother Justin...if you look at the Boss IR-200 as an "effect" pedal as you would with a pedal that gives designed to give you a "Dumble" sound i.e. the Vertex SSS.
      And while this Boss IR-200 is designed to be "multiple amps in a box"...isn't that just an "effect" into an amp such as the "Deluxe Reverb"? Sure it is...and makes perfect sense.
      The Pursuit of Tone, while not making "sense" to others, only needs to make "sense" to the user who is pursuit of "trying to find" different sonic combinations to "hear" if something is "sonically appealing" or not.
      If I don't "try" this combination, I will never "know"...first hand...if it was something I liked and therefore want to pursue.
      Unlike most folks, I make up my own mind based upon "personal experience" rather than someone else's opinion...depending "who" that person is and what their "experiences" have to offer...especially here on "UA-cam" where everyone seems to have such a definitive opinion...and yet most without experiences to the degree that matters to me.
      If you have a channel where you share your "Experiences" and therefore your "Opinion", please let me know as I would enjoy to watch it.
      As for me...this makes PERFECT SENSE to me...and that's what matters...to me.
      Thank you for your comment and my prayers to you, your family and friends.
      Sincerely I am...Dan
