  • World Stroke Day (29 Oct) is just around the corner 🗓️ Leading up to the celebration, Stroke Support Station (S3) has partnered with Nanyang Polytechnic’s School of Design & Media to produce an animation project on stroke awareness and prevention.
Most strokes can be prevented but we need to start by making healthier diet and lifestyle choices right now. How do we do that? Follow the main character’s journey as he learns how to keep stroke at bay 💥
This video wouldn’t have been possible without the Animation and Visual Effects third year students who volunteered to take on the creative task as part of their Independent Work Project, a 150-hours module which provides the students a space to explore and engage in creative media projects! We’d also like to thank Teo Wei Yong of Gray Note Productions for producing the music and sound design, thus bringing the animation to life 🎶🎵
We are also grateful to Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Stroke Services Improvement (Spot Stroke) for their support in the production of this animation video.
Finally, a big thank you to Edmund Tan who voiced the main character! Edmund is a stroke survivor who has embarked on his post-stroke rehabilitation journey, and continues to improve himself each day with the knowledge he gained through therapy at S3. He expressed a keen determination to help raise awareness about stroke with others. We hope that you feel inspired to stay healthy for a better you! Let’s get #HealthierTogether 💪🏼
