Duckie has been alone for a few months and even though he is old, we wanted a friend for him. He is a rescued duck and had been neglected and that is why we took them. His new friend needs some time to get used to her new surroundings. I almost brought sheep, pigs, pheasants and other animals too. I don't know, but when I see animals I want to cuddle them and give them all the best life possible. Furthermore, it was a wonderful day. Cold, but it is noticeable that the sun is getting stronger again.

Thank you. That's so good of you. Yes, I can see it in Fred's skin too. He had a kind of gray yellow glow to his face. He turned the mental switch himself, which is why it's so easy now. To be honest, we never expected him to succeed. His taste is also much better now. And what extra time he has in a day. We can also watch a movie in one go in the evening without having to take smoke breaks. 💛

Haha yes Fred's face says it all. A cat friend would be great, but we'll wait until we have another home. Then I go all out. A cat, sheep, pigs, alpacas, more ducks, swans, chickens etc etc 😂.

Now that Fred's taste buds no longer are subdued by nicotine, tar and smoke, they are better able to taste undernotes in many foods and liquids; he may find certain things he liked in the past he does not anymore. Our tastes change as we get older too, so there might be many things that for different reasons he will turn away from in the future.

Dachshunds often develop thyroid issues, and the shivering …which is not related to frozen ground….is a symptom of thyroid problems. Humans are exactly the same.❤😊
She only has it from October to April. Colder weather. Loulou has a single coat, you can see her skin and especially when she is indoors and sits still, she keeps her muscles warm by shivering. She burns a lot of energy, so she gets extra food this time of year. xx

Oh my i got a bit excited seeing the sunshine on your walk. It's been rainy and dreary here for days. I'm not familiar with ducks and their social behaviours. Is it pass or fail if they decide to get along or does it just always "work out"? It's been 2 weeks since I started feeding my dog "SundaysForDogs" air dried 90% beef dog food and i can tell a big difference. You inspired me to find a much healthier choice.👍 My lil buddy thanks you😎. Fun fact: Pennsylvania USA has over 300,000 dutch decendants. They have a modified language called "pennsylvania dutch" with many more amish and mennonites whom still strictly travel using horse and buggy with no electricity. Much love Eveline and God Bless❤❤❤

Well, I would say if you could rescue animals, and had the help, they would be the healthiest, happiest animals! Duckie will be happy (soon) with his new mate! As for Fred, not smoking, Good job! It is a hard habit to break, but keep going. just day by day. It is SOOOO worth it, esp. for your wife and girls!

Fred is doing very well. The first week was the worst (also for us because he was very grumpy). Now it's easy. But he has stopped several times, but there is a difference, says Fred. The previous times he did it for us and now he has switched the mental switch and is doing it for himself. Everyone has to find that button, he says, otherwise it won't work. His skin is better, he has better taste and he smells better. We don't have a name for Duckie yet, we will come up with a name. Thank you, xx.

Oh thank you. At the moment I'm mainly wearing comfortable clothes because I have gained weight (I am still discovering how that is possible and how to get it off because I have not lost a gram) but I buy brands from many different boutiques such as: Sandro, Studio ar, Dante 6, Maxmara, Ibana fashion, American Vintage, Iro Paris, Ba&sh, Dolly sports. I worked in a luxury clothing boutique and actually discovered my style there. I don't buy a lot, but sometimes I buy a piece that is actually timeless and that I can wear for years. xx

Hi, de eend is gekortwiekt in de winkel. Als ze bang zijn in het begin dan kunnen ze wegvliegen. De veren groeien weer aan en dan laten we het zo. De rest van de eenden hebben wij nooit gekortwiekt omdat ze uit het ei zijn gekomen en zo tam zijn dat ze blijven.
