The best interview I’ve ever seen. I have so much respect and admiration for Dan Reynolds. And this interview has inspired me so much. We’re all on the path of self discovery. We’re looking for that truth, in one way or another. And when you come across someone who is a guiding light, it’s a blessing that’s not to be taken for granted. His words made me think about so many things that I tried, consciously or unconsciously, to keep buried. People like him make this world a better place.

I really admire him. I absolutely love how he tries to normalise therapy and emphasises the importance of it. I am in the middle of a divorce now and therapy was what my husband and I desperately needed but he didn't want to go, nor see how badly we needed it. I love how Dan speaks in a vulnerable way about his struggles. It takes a man with a lot of courage to do that. I really respect and admire him. I wish that he will find the truth he is seeking. May he stay blessed and his family too

    • @janie3117

You don’t need therapy. You need the Truth. Am in not talking about the same truth Dan is talking about. I’m talking about real Truth. God. God is a Spirit. God is Love. There is Only One God. He put His Spirit In the man Jesus, ( came fashioned as a man), and He did this to Save the Believers!
You need to believe the Gospel, ( Word), and once we do that He will Give the Spirit to you! And you will find inner peace because the Truth sets you free!
This world lieth in wickedness. It is death. The enemy of God is death. God is LIFE.
1Tim 2:5- There is ONE GOD and One Mediator between GOD and men, the Man Christ Jesus
      Mediator =2
      Man (Flesh)-Jesus
      GOD(SPIRIT)- JESUS
Jesus died for the sins of the world and was buried, and on the 3rd day GOD RAISED him from the dead according to the scriptures
      (( GOD can never die))
1Tim 1:17- Now unto the King Eternal, Immortal, INVISIBLE, the ONLY Wise GOD, be glory for ever and ever Amen.
All the believers have the Spirit IN them! GOD is here right Now! Just believe and receive the FREE GIFT 🎁!!

HIS sheep Never die! It’s about the Spirit! Believers that have HIS Spirit have Eternal LIFE, and therefore we can Never die! We are HIS children!! 💗 🐑 ☀️ 🌺 🌳 🌈

It takes time and if I end up coming back to religion in the end, then I'll know that the truth all along has been religion. I have never actively listened to Imagine Dragons. Then I was invited to a concert in Prague and liked many of the songs. I have created a little playlist on Spotify and randomly played a song or two.
Three weeks after the concert my life literally crashed and I lost strength, meaning of life, happiness, energy. For the last 4 weeks I just wake up in the morning, argue with my head to leave me alone for a while and hope to somehow survive till the next one.
However, I have expanded my Imagine Dragons playlist and am stucked to it. Because beside going to therapist, it is the songs like Bones, Sharks, Natural or Enemy keep me alive and help me not break down completely.
Music really is a miracle and ID do a great job for me right now. Thanks.

Such a deep and meaningful interview, I may say that I'm an old fan of Imagine Dragons, and yes, their music gave me support when I needed it. Guess Dan is writing about his emotions and feelings which all we go through, and when we hear it in music we absolutely can relate and feel fine to be not okay or to deal with our demons. It was very interesting to hear his thoughts which he is not sharing everytime as some other people, appreciate it so much.
Thank you so much for having him, it seems to me that one hour is very short for it lol but I just didn't realised how time just past when it ended. Thank you for questions and your own thoughts, they are very deep too. It's my second time whatching your show and I love to see my favourite artists in it. Thank you so much and good luck~

The song “I Don’t like myself” is the one that really speaks to me. Had a hard time making friends or forming some type of relationship with people because they always treated me like I had some sort of mental Illness or disease. It was mostly because of my appearance. At first I didn’t think there was anything wrong but because people refused to interact or bullied me, I started to believe the things they said about me. After that, I became antisocial and maybe a little rude but kept to myself majority of the time. Just stopped caring. I still have my moments where I lack confidence and wish I wasn’t born the way I was, but I am improving. Work in progress

I stumbled on your music. Thunder caught my attention. I have three sons and I'm 62. Bipolar runs in my family. I was talking to my youngest about your music and his wife mentioned you and the band had been playing for a while. We joked I was behind the times. Dealing with depression I can relate. I'm on meds for it which helps me cope. Keep doing what you're doing. I think you have a tremendous outlook and the young people and teenagers are watching you. When you're performing the young people come alive. It's nice to listen to music that is clean. I've gotten old enough I dont want to hear all the language. I wish you and your band the best and I'll be right here listening. ❤

The struggles, the pain, the love, the happiness are all included in one person. No one can escape from the feelings…Profession, children, marriage .. everything is so complex and if someone never experienced depression after all, is unreal for me… The thing is, we need to value happiness and walk through heavy moments fast as we can, when it happens… Depression is nothing but pain, strong pain.. That is why we need to value the happy moments and feelings. We need to balancing in ourself, not easy but worthy. This world is magical, people are magical, animals and nature are magical… just the point of view. We must practice, nothing’s coming easy.

This talk was so great. I've always adored Imagine Dragons and found their music to be resonating with my soul and struggles and just the rhythm of my life. Only listening to the latest album I noticed that there were a few "depressing" songs, I felt there was a struggle in them. And finding this interview - I finally understand what that was about and why it's there. Every day I find more and more celebrities that open up about how they really feel and I find it as something unimaginable that the people on the top also strugle, they are also just humans and we all go through the same paths in our lives, every one unique but we all share the same problems. It's extremely sad to me that we can't all overcome the different issues and we can't all be at peace with ourselves. But the talks like this one make me rethink a lot of stuff. I am extremely thankful for this video both to you and to Dan. In the weirdest way this is very inspirational and full of life. Makes me understand why it's important to be at peace with yourself and why it's important to listen to yourself. It really is okay to struggle and we shouldn't be trying to hide and cope with it. Sometimes you just must allow grief and saddness to go through you. But you have to do it to empower you and to go further. Thank you for the talk...

Thank you for the interview! I really appreciate how down to earth you are regardless of your fame and your mental issues.
Love the fact that all your music is a biography or your life or part of your life. May God bless you and your family. Your kids are precious… keep writing and playing music because some of us can
    relate.
    Please take care of yourself,

Watching this has helped me and I think it is brilliant that Dan is so open an so correct about how mental health perceived. I come from a middle class family and I suffer from ptsd and depression and it gets brushed under carpet. I also suffer from a neurological condition which is very painful so I do get it. This interview has been helpful. Dan needs do more of this work

Thank you so much for sharing! We just watched Imagine Dragons live last week. It was my son's first concert and I was so thankful and moved by the messages of self-care, mental wellness, and being yourself. Growing up, that was not something that was ever talked about. As I've seen a lot of the same "demons" I've faced surfacing in my son, I've struggled with how to help him survive and hopefully thrive. Showing him an example of someone he looks up to facing the same challenges is so helpful.

I also had lost my nephew to suicide four years ago, and when I received that phone call from my older brother, or was an enormous shock and shaken me to the bone. Now I know that there’s nothing worst for a parent then to lose a child to suicide

I discovered the Band Imagine Dragons for me in 2019 and the song "Natural" helped me a lot, through a very difficult time in my life. I have all the music of them now and when I listen to it, I am alsways wondering how it is possible, that these songs sound, like they are written from my deepest thoughts and feelings in my heart. Now I discovered this interview and now I understand why I am so touched by the music of Imagine Dragons. Thank you 🙂 Sorry for spelling mistakes, I am not a native English spaeker and over 50 *lol*

I just had to say wtf man, bc holy moly that's amazing that he makes songs that way, I mean, #1 and Natural fx. Are amazing lyrically. Just crazy to think about his mood made the melody and then to that what he felt made the lyrics. Man I'm gonna appreciate his songs so much more now. And 3-4 hours of activity to stay fit is such an inspiration.

OMG Im in love with this interview for so many reasons Im getting lost among them! His down-to-earth canter and approach to mental health is ALL what my channel is about and it is so incredible to learn that he has such a disabling disability and yet counters it with intensive physical fitness. His comments about how his mother has impacted the world gives a great deal to think about too, and regarding his wife, I'd never heard of Nico Vega before but now that I've looked them up upon him mentioning the name I have no question why he was into her: She and her band are INCREDIBLE!

We are all broken. Even those who soar they have it all together. Done are better at hiding it. Some are just tired of hiding it. Speak up, speak out. There are a lot of wrongs done to us all. It doesn't stop until we talk. It's all mixed into all the good times. Music is a gift.
