Another damaged project car. This time a W204 C63 AMG but its got a hidden history. Theres some serious frame damage which needs to be looked at. I think i paid way too much for this!

Alot of negative comments here 😂Just remember... In a real life situation returning the car seems the best thing to do. But as creating content is my full time job it would make a much better story and content to rebuild this thing. The frame damage although unexpected is very minor compared to alot of projects seen on UA-cam. I love to push myself and move on further with bigger builds. All safety aspects and frame damage will be done by professionals to ensure the car is safe. The rest will be left to me! Enjoy the content guys dont worry too much! you didnt buy it 😂

Just a heads up; when Copart lists a car as an "Enhanced Vehicle", it means that it has already had an attempted repair on it, and will be "dressed up" to look better than it is

@@MrTwister86660 head bolts snapping and top end problems were problems with early m156 engines, they ironed out most of the problems by 2014.
It should be a reliable car once its sorted out.

I’ve been a panel beater for 25 years. It’s repairable but I’d save yourself a lot of hassle and take it back 😂
Definitely repairable but not cost effective, however it will be good content for the channel.
I have a 2014 Peugeot 208 actually it’s my first car 😅 but I bought it also sight unseen with a lot more damage but I let a good mechanic I know do it for 2500€ without paint was 1000€ but I drive it daily and love it very much I also having plans to go on a road trip with it so don’t scare you away with the damage it’s not that very much

A lot of those copart cars look like stolen insurance write offs, used as getaway cars, unfortunately the damage goes deep on those cars, like my sons stolen golf r

More peace of mind fixing it yourself you know its done properly than letting someone or somewhere else do it, someone already tried dressing that car up to make it look better too many cowboys out there

This is a massive project Mat and no better man to take it on...this is going to be so interesting to watch as you progress..bodywork of this nature is so specific and I will be so interested to see how the process of realignment actually works. Man I love the positive attitude. The car books around 35k (US Dollars) and only paying half that seems like good deal only if 10k or less is put back in to fix and is safe. Any time I see a vehicle at auction that has the keys and in the highlights it doesn't say runs and drives or engine starts or an X on hood to indicate hood is stuck closed usually there's an issue and somebody is being fraudulent. It is always best to run the vin and check to see if its been in auction before to catch things like this if checking in person in not an option. Its always nice to have that money back, but its also nice having that gratification helping others learn from your experience so they know what to look for and knowing you fixed something that not a lot of people believe that you can or even should do. Good luck I hope all goes well.
This car was listed for 15 grand on ebay by a seller called sd trading up untill last month

hell yeah man i love your optimism! cant believe those buggers. I did buy a 2014 tl for $5400.00 Canadian with lots of hail damage. Looking forward to rebuild that as well. Its all about the journey and experience, money comes after!

Its the fun part of buying salvage motors .
Recently bought a focus off copart took delivery of it opened the bonnet and it had a 4x2 plank of wood straight through bumper and damaging the loom
Damn even the Tyres would also worry me who puts cheap Tyres on a C63!
Been there and done that, never again nightmare to get hold of parts and danm expensive. It will make a nice UA-cam video but financially its not worth while.
I enjoy these videos of yours Mat, you're so positive about everything! Love the editing too, the timelapses, the cuts and all the rest- would you mind me asking are you doing the video editing yourself or are you outsourcing it?
In any case, I really respect what you're doing. Is that right that you are not car technician yourself? You're only learning by taking the subsequent cars apart and then rebuilding them again?

There's no reason why it should drive any differently as Mat does a proper job on these cars. He may not have the upfront experience and knowledge but that is what the internet is for, for diagrams, photographs and talking to other people. Mat would never put Hannah at risk of harm.

subbed because i just got 2014 C63 with light front end damage and this popped up. wheel was bent back but it was just a control arm! I hope you go into detail on parts because mine just hit my friend’s body shop after 2 months of ebay part searching, but i’m sure i’m missing things on the front end. Can’t wait to see you finish this build and learn to do whatever i’m missing
